Seething at the moment. That made the Liverpool v United game look like a game of impartial refereeing. I don't think I've ever seen the odds stacked against a team is much as there were today. I can't say much else for the time being until I've calmed down and reflected. All I can say I'm proud of the players today. We didn't start well but you can't legislate for what happened out their today. Out of our control
We didnt deserve the win, but thats football. Sometimes you dont deserve to win but do. A good example of this is the reason you are champions of europe, take the rough with the smooth
I hated the fact that Chelsea won the CL because I'm a Spurs fan - but they won it fair and square and I accept that. Did they play the best football? No. Did they rely on referees? No. Man Utd consistently get the rub of the green in these sort of matches and it's been that way for years.
There is a difference to playing defensively and spoiling a game than having refs cheat for you. C UNT.
Nothing. You lick your wounds and come back stronger. You lost points unfairly today and doubtlessly you'll win some later in the season. Its what happens.
Yep and that display today might just lead to it changing because it's clear as day he cheated. He din't get it wrong he cheated.
There was only one decision Cheleea fans can rightfully be annoyed about, the Torres sending off. I think Torres made a meal of it but there was (minimal) contact I don't dispute that. Ivanovic deserved to be sent off no argument there. The offside goal, well that happens week in week out and sometimes you get them sometimes you don't.
We have been robbed and only the most deluded Manc would dare to question that. Despite the loss I'm very proud of our players and our fans. Our fans showed unity with the players today and outsung the United fans today. The support was immense. I am absolutely seething as well because against United this is happening too often! How the Torres one is a red is beyond me and how that isn't offside is a joke. We are still top of the league and can be valiant and proud despite defeat today. Even at 12 v 9 we still looked threatening and everyone deserves so much credit for that. Lets keep our heads up and beat them on Wednesday. We are top of the league still and still with our heads held high.
No argument with Ivanovic but even if many offside goals are missed etc. we still have a right to be aggrieved! And the Torres one wasn't a second yellow...
lol @ PurpleNose saying that it was Torres' fault because he could have carried on to score and not gone down... Like Ashley Young then?
Don't get me wrong I would be pissed off as well if I was a Chelsea fan today!! To be fair Chelsea have had heir fair share of offside goals given as well so these things do even out.
**** happens.. Everyone forgot about this game? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ba-winner-leaves-Alex-Ferguson-in-a-rage.html
Two penalties last season, 2 sendings-off plus an offside goal today.....next season it'll be the keys to the executive washroom; outstanding Clattenburg, get your free crate of beer for this one. Thought Ivan had to go for his challenge on Young but the decision on Torres was vintage pub team refereeing....I thought the circus had come to town. Excellent fightback by the team despite giving Valencia & Van Persie the freedom of the borough; Utd looked sharp from the outset and we did well to get back into the game, it was shaping up to be an intriguing contest before Clattenburg did his cameo.
