Good morning, all you late "sleepers-in"- taking the benefit of the extra hour's sleep.
Today's racing is all National Hunt (hoorah)- from Aintree, Galway, Wincanton, and Wexford.
I'm proffering no tips today, but raising a point of discussion concerning the win of For Non Stop in The Old Roan Chase at Aintree yesterday.
Whatever the level of fitness of his opponents, For Non Stop was certainly impressive and showed he has gone the right way since last season.
More important, I feel it highlights the prospects of his Cheltenham conqueror, Sir Des Champs, who beat him decisively in The Jewson Chase.
At Cheltenham, For Non Stop ran a great race but just could not get to grips with Sir Des Champs and Champion Court, and Willie Mullins' charge showed his usual, impressive turn of foot up the hill to the line.
Bearing all this in mind, would members be tempted by the 6/1 ante-post currently on offer for Sir Des Champs in the Gold Cup?
Maybe not. He is not due to reappear until December and arguably, the price will not change before then.
However, should he retain his unbeaten record and win impressively, the 6/1 could look very big at Christmas.
What do other members think about his price and prospects?
Good punting to everyone today!

couldn't be taking any of that. I've had a speculative e/w dabble on Skint, who has moved from Seven Barrows to the Charlie Longsdon yard and looks interesting back over hurdles today. His mark of 131 doesn't look too onerous based on his winning a Grade 3 novices handicap hurdle off 128 at Sandown 18 months ago and Noel Fehily certainly seems to be making up for lost time since returning from injury.
probably get done by Nicholls again
