Not prepared to play supporting role!!! For me I'll be pleased when Shola retires as he's been a lucky player throughout the years and whatever he does to the managers it must really satisfy. I know he's a sensible lad and a nice lad but he just doesn't do it often enough, never has and never will. In his defence Cisse looks like he's developed parkisons disease but I'd still say Shola shouldn't start and we should stick with Papiss as we all know he's a better striker.

In short we should have moved along from Shola years ago and he's holding other strikers back and I'd rather play a fast striker off Ba or Pappis



What's your stance?

ps the only reason Shola has managed to stay around is because of his goals against Sunderland but that doesn't cut it for me 2 or 3 good games a season is not the requirement.

I'm feeling harsh but I'm ****ing sick of Shola
 
I think as a squad player Shola is fine...
He's never gonna be first choice but he is a Geordie who gives 100% every time. For that I commend him.
He's a nice unassuming bloke and a great ambassador.
Just my view that's all.
 
If you actually read the article, it bears absolutely no relevance to the title. He says that he acknowledges we have two brilliant strikers, will have to work hard to get in the team and that he feeds off confidence from the gaffer.

Title is so misleading, it's bordering on just plain false.
 
I personally think our a 4-4-2 set up works better with Shola in it, and I believe if we're gonna play this formation long term, we shouldn't play Ba and Cisse together up front.

Shola doesn't score that many, but he wins vital headers and assists a lot. If you can't win headers up front, you just gift the opposition possession back. With Shola and Ba you win a lot more headers, and we put far more pressure on the opposition, and we keep more possession.

My formation for tomorrow -

Jonas---Perch---Cabaye------Ben Arfa

Santon--Colo-----Saylor-----Simpson

Looking at his rep score l can only presume that the other forum users, including myself, have been repping him in order to encourage sensible and positive posts.
Obviously it's not working as the wummery is creeping back.
Don't mind him expressing his opinion, but recently it seems to be provocative for the sake of it
Glad he's had a warning, PAM please take note of it and contribute positively, as we know you can and have done previously. Cheers

Evidentally not working, the other day he was telling me to ban members.
 
Listen I have had the opinion that Shola is not good enough for a decade and I'm just saying. If you disagree that's fine, however I don't understand why that means I should get ban threats? It was fine for you all the ridicule Perch every time he appeared on the team sheet wasn't it. Maybe Shola will score tomorrow and then I thi nk he is great until he then fails to score for another season.

Erm no I was suggesting Sunderland should be banned form football matches ha ha you totally misunderstood what I was getting at clearly.


I could come on here and say Hi hows it going and you would hear evil noises


Anyway I'll see what happens when he's up top for the season and see how many goals he gets and how many assists.

No love for my opinion is fine but please alllow me to have one

If I get banned for saying Shola isn't good enough you would I expect have to ban everyone on this forum bar NUFC fans.

I'd rather play Jonas where you have Perch and start Ferguson in the left and stick with Cisse as he just needs a goal and then he will start getting 1 every 2 as he has his entire career whereas shola still gets 3 a season.

I am of the opinion Cisse isn't getting any service in premier league games other than hoof balls and last season he was getting played in from Cabaye time and time again. It's just a question of when the team clicks again. We should have faith in the number 9 we paid money for.As much as I love Demba ever since he cried about being left of center we have been ****e at attacking.

Nah. Perch is a better defensive mid/Center mid than Jonas IMO.

Ferguson has only just burst into the scene, he shouldn't be rushed into it.

Our lads post on there, rarely ever have a problem, they are still members of not606.
