Sorry, I can't agree with this. The biggest contribution to our being where we are was made by Paul Lambert, Ian Culverhouse and Garry Karsa over three years of dedicated service to our club. They stuck to the task and delivered more than we could ever have hoped for, despite -- as we now know -- some discord behind the scenes. Villa may not be a top six club at the moment, but for an ambitious young manager with issues in his current post, it is a reasonable step on the ladder -- a step Ron Saunders, for example, took earlier in our history. People say Lambert could have gone without taking action against the club; it is equally true that the club could have let him go without taking action against him. We do not know the facts, and when the tribunal delivers its judgement it may be that they find in PL's favour -- as they found in Colchester's favour when we took PL from them. I hope our supporters just show their appreciation of the man who so transformed the fortunes of our club, and show the dignity, generous mindedness and respect they expect him to show to us?

Sorry can't agree with this robbie, he's blotted his copybook IMO regardless of what he acheived here. My football club did as much for him as he did for us make no mistake, fact is Paul Lambert is cold and calculated and generally not a very nice man, bollocks to him and we move on. I sincerely hope the travelling fans have a bit more substance than to start booing Lambert. Unless they have serious memory lapse, we were second bottom of the third tier of English football when PL came in - and that was only because Saints had that 10 point deduction. To do what he did - on a far-from-Mancini type budget is nothing short of miraculous and will remain so for all eternity. I'd love the three points, of course I would, but our fans simply fuelling the bad blood that already exists between NCFC anf PL can be of no possible benefit. Just get behind the yellows, everything else will take care of itself

As far as im concerned we are now divorced, and abit like the ex misses, you once loved them, but secretly hope there next relationship is a complete failure, because they should have stayed with you. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the matter we have to admit that without Lambert we would be at least one - and maybe two divisions lower than we are.It's nasty how it's ended up but I am not ready to place the blame 100% on Lambert.Bad decision to go to Villa though,they look crap.
I don't know how "nice" or otherwise PL is kickitoff, never having got to know him on a personal level. But it seems odd to me to show one's disapproval of those one thinks "not very nice", by being "not very nice" oneself! Better to behave nicely and earn the respect of all who witness it IMO.

I'm between the two opinions, I'd go for a polite, but restrained acknowledgement of what Pl achieved for us, and then massive support for CH, with a some less polite chanting in PL direction. Seems fair to me

Yeah, alright, i will leave you guys to worry about Paul Lamberts feelings. Im sure the NCFC fans will create a cracking atmoshphere today, and you wont convince me that Lambert doesnt deserve abit of stick today, but heyho, enjoy the match peeps!!! OTBC
Let's try to treat it like just another match. If it becomes some sort of vendetta, it all gets clouded in emotion. And one thing that was great about the Arsenal victory was how cool, how well-organised, how rational it was. We didn't give them a sniff because we controlled our performance so well. Let's not risk that with hatred and strong feelings. Let's just repeat the Arsenal performance.
