According to the star(!!) Elliot Ward is going out on loan to Forest, where he will presumably team up with Ayala... Will be interesting to see how that goes

I think Ward is as a replacement for Ayala, pretty sure I heard he was out for a while with a little injury

good luck to elliot. he's a cracking guy and he took being left out of the 25 man squad with good grace. i'm sure this will lead to a permanent move come january. he received a lot of stick last season, some warranted but the vast majority was unpleasant and uncalled for. he's a very good championship defender and will do well at forest, i'm sure.

Hear hear Supers.

Ward is a solid, unspectacular, give-all defender who will do well for the Florists. He deserves to get some game time and hopefully the move to Nottingham will pave the way for something permanent.

Didn't know Ayala was injured - who'd have thought that eh ?

I don't think that Ayala is injured, he scored last week against Cardiff. It will interesting to see them paired together, surely it's good news for us either way, if we want to sell or keep, one or both.

See Ward has gone on loan to Forest. Happy for him he deserves to be playing first team football. The bad news is he is providing emergency cover for Ayala who is now injured.

The very best wishes to Elliot. He took a lot of unjustified stick, but his effort and attitude was always first class, and for that he deserves our thanks. Yes ok, he's not equipped for the speed and movement of the premiership. Time to move on and the good luck at Forest.

Amazed it took this long before a Championship side snapped him up although I understand that for personal reasons he was reluctant to move away. Seems strange that we gave him another contract for a year in the summer but I suppose it was a precaution in case the likes of Bassong would not come here. Only leaves Turner for the boo boys to pick on!!
