Yes was always good for our home record but we have a decent record at home at the new ground Personally I've never felt a great atmosphere when I've been to the Lane, that said I've only been there to watch Saints which clearly wouldn't generate the atmosphere of a United or London derby.
I was there that day. In fact that season I only missed 3 league games in total. I always liked visiting the Dell although teh atmosphere did get a bit hostile at times. I remember you used to always give dogs abuse to our keeper Ian Walker, although I seem to remember he started it all by giving your fans a naughty hand gesture !!!!
Fair comments LL, the atmosphere at the Lane is mostly **** these days, and I don't have a lot of time for many Spurs fans. Instead of cheering and singing for the team, they prefer moaning, whinging, and giving out inane analysis in a bizarre James Joyce stream of consciousness style, but without the literary quality, wit or knowledge. The Lane has always had its fair share of moaners in all the six decades I've been watching football there, but it's worse than ever I think these days, when actually we aren't doing too bad, compared to some of the previous years anyway. I don't do away games any more, but it seems most grounds these days aren't up to much Kop biggrin atmosphere-wise. Many of the continentals put us to shame with the intensity of their support these days. I love the intensity of the Greeks and Turks for example, and would love to be amongst those type of crowds. It was a bit like that in the 70s in England, when you could get in a mass and go crazy, and lots of fans including me did, but alas the hooligans ****ed that up for us.
So Spurs fans after a rather dull draw last night who is going to take the field against us on Saturday. Looks like Dawson may miss out so does that mean the return of the mighty Gallas?
wouldn't be surprised if we saw the same back 4 on Sunday that we played last night. Gallas has got to be dropped after that woeful performance against chelsea.
