swansea announced very similar results recently. our wage spend compared to revenue is 40%, and that must include non-playing staff. one of the lowest for sure

90% <yikes> that'll be on the roeder loan deals than. it really is refreshing isn't it.
turnover up £50M mainly due to the Sky money <cheers>

A 25% increase in playing budget for next season would give us around £16m in the kitty then for 2013-14? Anyone have any idea if that factors in the extra TV money?

it is good reading for our club, but highlights the potential demise of many clubs in the football league The difference in TV income next year between PL and the championship will be £60 million per club, that cannot be sustainable or equitable. It's actually pretty sad.

This is why there is no other option but survival this season, we need to battle through every game like it's our last and the fans attending the games need to PROPERLY SUPPORT the players not sing and cheer just because the players are doing well. This is for our future imagine how comfortable we would be with another seasons worth of Premiership money.

I'm worried that the divide this could create may create effectively a 24,25 team elite, with the same 6 or 7 teams from that relegating from the PL, then rebounding almost immediately, because financially they'll be so much better off. I'm not sure whether this is just my own perception, but a few years ago I felt nearly every promoted side came down immediately, with maybe 1 being lucky to survive. I'm worried this'll seem mild compared to the situation in a few years time.

Hopefully, when football finally has it's own financial crash in a few years time, the elite clubs dependent on rich owners will be replaced by the likes of Arsenal, Everton, ourselves, Swansea etc
