Don't think I've used the same team twice in a row. Use a mixture of teams - try to avoid 5* teams because it's boring, but I've used a few out of interest in how good they are on FIFA 13 :p Used Saints a few times and they're pretty good, don't think I've been beaten using them....

Much the same here, avoid 5 star teams. Half the fun is finding over powered 4 and a half star teams.

Haha I don't really do that, I tend to just play with teams that interest me regardless of how good they are - same with players, I used United for a game and stuck Powell and Buttner on the wings. Don't care enough about winning to use teams like Anji!

Anyone else found it to be ridiculously glitch this year? Loads of invisible balls, freezes, players spazzing out, and the bar thing with Messi's face on came own and didn't go away again, blocking half the screen?

Haven't had any of those except the Messi bar thing which was a huge pain in the bum.

Getting a bit bored with my career with Southampton so feel I may start another one to play with different teams every now an then an move clubs every so often.

Any suggestions to where I should start? Preferably somewhere in England <ok>

Worth exploring the Saudi League on UT some gems for very cheap.

I have a Saudi team, along with my Saints team, my Austrian team, Japanese team and Argentinian silver team, and the Saudi's really do have some gems in their ranks. I believe I have played about 10/11 games, all in the gold tournament, and not lost once. Two players that I'd definitely recommend to anyone wanting to dabble in that area would be Al Shamrani who plays for Al-Shabab and Al Shalhoub who plays for Al-Hilal (A lot of Als I know, I was tempted to try and come up with a witty name for the team based on it, possibly Al Murray based, but stopped myself). Al Shamrani is a striker and has good pace, decent with the ball at his feet, but great positioning and great finishing, I believe those two stats are 82 and 81 respectively to match his 83 pace, outstanding for a silver, and he has decent long shots and shot power too. Al Shalhoub is nothing spectacular but an all round very good player, especially for silver, he's a CAM and has 70+ in basically every key stat, he's quick, good dribbling, good passer, good long shots, good finishing and good on both feet, really can't fault him. Only weak point for most of the Saudi's is a definite lack of strength throughout, I had a quick look in-game and a lot of them are low 40s into the 30s, particularly if you target quicker or more skillful players. You definitely can get manhandled by big teams, and you have to defend cleverly otherwise you'll have issues, but if you're up to task of playing with silvers then I'd definitely recommend giving them a whirl, especially since if you avoid some of the quicker defenders who do go for up to around 10 grand, you can really get a bargain team for a combined fee of no more than 10/15k. And since basically all the good Saudi Arabians on the game are in the Saudi league, you can make a team with perfect chemistry with very little effort.

Thanks to the market going down, bought a great team or 330k, and now have 270k. Not complaining as it's the way UT work and it's still a lot of coins.

Might make a Colombia tean. Falcao and Muriel up front.

Played with Colombia on both H2H and UT last year. Definitely recommend it. Am eyeing a 4-1-2-1-2 for UT myself this year, definitely some cracking players. Falcao and either Muriel or Jackson Martinez up front. IF James Rodriguez CAM, his IF just looks quality, he has 85+ in every technical stat apart from heading and volleys, and good pace for a central player and ridiculously he only goes for about 25k. Guarin CDM is quick, strong, defends well and also has a rocket long shot on him, scored some incredible goals with him on Fifa 12. Zuniga LM, Armero LB, both quick and quality going both ways. Cuadrado of Fiorentina at RM, pacey and good dribbling, 4* skills. Then Luis Perea CB, 84 sprint speed, 93 strength, 90 jumping... Need I say more? Mosquera can partner him, not as quick but a big unit and 87 strength, still frightening. Then Ospina in goal leaving the only whole in the team which is RB where the best option is a fairly average silver. But despite that, a truly frightening team with a combination of sheer physical prowess and quality players, and some good Seria A chem links. I definitely need to make that team at some stage and would advise any of you who can afford it to go down that road as well!

Am kind of struggling to enjoy my Saints career too. I like too many of the players and I try too hard to play a certain way and whatnot, and sometimes if Lambert hasn't got a goal for a few games I'll spend an entire game trying to get him a hattrick to take him back to top scorer.

On other teams, I haven't been any other English teams so far on Fifa 13, but I had careers as Fulham and Wigan on Fifa 12 which posed interesting challenges and I enjoyed. Fulham have some good players (although they are missing Dempsey and Dembele this season), and if you make some smart buys you can crack on and get them challenging for the top. Wigan are at the other end and have a few good players but also a few very poor ones, and it's interesting trying to base a team around a 3 at the back which I don't often do on CM, fun challenge with them to take them up to the opposite end of the table.

Invest in Elton if you haven't already 5 star skiller and the ball just stays stuck to his foot.

I did experiment with him but in the end I basically turned my Saudi League team into a straight up Saudi Arabian team, so he ended up getting the boot. Good little player though, and I mean LITTLE, cor he's a midget, but like you say his dribbling is fantastic, though I found his shooting frequently hit and miss.

He is tiny, poor weak foot which might have been your problem.

Indeed, I believe he had about 1 or 2 star week foot yeah, but even on his strong foot I was never found him that consistent. Very good player regardless though, definitely would probably have kept him if I didn't make the switch to an all Saudi Arabian team.
