Who would you like City to keep? Personally I would rather City got Mannone, better shot-stopping, catching, quick distribution. However, with his injury-prone history, would he be too much of a gamble?? Guzan is good at distribution, but his claiming of crosses and slowness of distribution could make it a no-no, even if he is a free agent in the summer. RESULT: MANNONE
I think Guzan made too many mistakes. I think Mannone is brilliant, but he does seem to be a bit fragile. If we end up with Mannone and Eilhoff next season, I'll be a happy man.
neither for me.. guzan made too many mistakes. mannone is great but very injury prone (he's been the same at arsenal) im sure the scouts have a few targets in mind for the summer. maybe our no.1 next season will be someone completely different.
id love us to bring him back, we only got rid because we needed the money, and he doesnt seem to get a look in at wba.. a few weeks ago, i would have said mannone is a lot better then him, but the last 2 games he played has a cast a doubht in my mind.... id take mannone over guzan tho easily...
Yep...If we have that, along with Ayala, Danns, Hobbs, Dudgeon etc. then next year will be the Tigers year. COYH
He'd be quite cheap as well, around ã1.5m, just his claiming of crosses and kicking from a backpass set the nerves jingling
I would love to have Myhill back, but I would take Westwood from Coventry, on a free this summer me thinks.
I would like to see mannone at the KC he is a great keeper, very similar to Myhill in the sense that he is a great shot stopper but he controls his area and defence a hell of a lot better and his distribution is ten times better! Although Kieron Westwood would definitely be a good shout!
Has anyone seen or heard anything about how good Eilhoff is? I've seen a video on youtube and he looks pretty good (better than Guzan and Duke). I'm guessing he'll come if we want him and on a free (I guess cheapish wages) could be a good signing. But i'd expect us to try our luck on Mannone first.
I think that we will go for both, as Duke will surely leave and seemingly Mark Oxley is not at the level that we need! You tube is great but does not show the bad things! But saying that he would surely be a decent second choice keeper! Maybe a bit like speroni at Palace, didn't he come from Germany?!
What's the score with Duke. His contract is up soon but has anyone heard if he is to receive an extension? Bearing in mind that he single handedly (forgive the pun) saved our away record against QPR. The German bloke sounds like a good buy, but Matt would be as good a stand-by as any imo.
