Was he quickly swallowed up again by his fellow vermin behind the goal? YES

Did they hand him to the coppers ? NO

Are Leeds fans hypocrites? YES

Do they attract low life ASBO nomarks from all over? YES

I'm sure he identifies himself as a Leeds fan, but do you think he goes to Leeds games because he wants Leeds to win or because he wants to cause trouble?

He's a ****,Percy. He wants THEM to win,and he wants to have a smashing night out with the lads. He's a very poor man.

No matter though,as i'm sure his life will turn out...Badly...I'm really certain of it !

To be fair I think pretty much every sensible Leeds fans has condemned the actions of this bloke last night. Root out the idiots and let the decent people amongst us enjoy watching the game and supporting their team. Tarring everyone with the same brush isn't the answer, bringing those involved to justice is.

I've watched the footage again now and, while I just accepted it before I looked again, I don't see anyone patting him on the back as people claim. I see people continuing to celebrate a goal while he climbs up through the stand. I may be wrong but I think some people are reading a lot into that.

As for people trying to hide him I wouldn't know about that, but an idiot/thug going to a football match with a small group of like minded twats wouldn't surprise me.

The fact is the vast, vast majority of Leeds fans who were at the game had nothing to do with it and he was roundly condemned (aswell as named and shamed) by the respectful majority afterwards.

So do you now retract your earlier claim that this was the act of a "passionate" fan? Millions of fans around the world are passionate about their teams but we do not all resort to physical violence as a result of said passion

Yes, one thug decided he wanted to have a moment in the spotlight. I don't see where that implicates 5000 travelling fans.

Because that 5000 travelling fans should of grabbed the ****ing twat and handed him to the old bill, you just might of earned yourselves and your club some respect.

That wasn't my claim, I was responding to the comment about fans celebrating onto the fringes of the pitch. I don't really know about Hull but that happens a lot at Leeds games and every time bar this once they've all just gone back to their seats having caused no problems. I never once claimed Aaron Cawley's actions were those of a passionate fan, it was possibly a badly timed comment but that is 100% not what I was saying.

I've already listed on another thread, and it's been gone over on the Leeds board, why this would be a bad idea. What you don't see reported is the thousands upon thousands of Leeds fans who set out to identify him minutes after the incident and inundated West Yorkshire Police with calls.

99% of the fans last night didn't even realise what had happened so how are they meant to hand him in? We where celebrating the goal not watching Chris Kirkland, a lot of comments on this thread suggest that a lot of you didn't see footage (saying he was patted on the back) and just take rumours as facts (Leeds fans hid him)

Going on a few of your lots theories I guess cos I had cheerios for breakfast every other Leeds fan must have!

Few decent hull fans are a credit to you but the others who jumped on the band wagon should be embarrassed use your brains n make your own decisions!!!

He was patted on the back as he walked back up the stand and again on his shoulder

By people celebrating a goal who didn't see it!

Seriously man, watch the footage and engage your brain! I've seen people who have never met before hug while celebrating a goal, is it beyond your imagination to think they were just celebrating?

You really need to watch the footage again not once was he patted on the back!!! Take the goggles off

Hull = biggest ****hole I've ever seen and I've been to Merthyr tydfil
