Right, a few things about today's game; 1) The game was very even, scoreline didn't reflect the play 2) Their goals were just simple mistakes, our goal was quality 3) I hope Schneiderlin is never injured again Things are not as bad as they seem, Adkins is still the right man for the job IMO. We need to recruit in January, sure, but with a new LB and CB, there's absolutely no reason why we couldn't stay up comfortably, as long as we aren't unlucky with injuries. We were never likely to get anything from West Ham away, so hopefully no-one will slit their wrists over this result. And I'll support Adkins until he is sacked, but Lambert should start whenever he's available; it almost worked against City, but we're a lot better when he's on the pitch, and he offered more than Rodriguez did. Also, I think we missed Ramirez and his creativity, we'll look a lot better when he's back.
The problem is reference your points 1 and 2- they seem to keep happening. We need results, and soon!
Regarding the bit in bold, it doesn't matter how well we've played We lost, that's the important thing - I'd rather play **** and win than play well and lose
Between posts like this and people who say the same thing sincerely, this forum is a total waste of time when we lose. One or two constructive or insightful posts among hundreds of absolute rubbish.
The problem is if it was even and we lost 4-1 , thats where I get confused , what will the scoreline be like if we play badly ? 6-1 ?
I find trying to make constructive or insightful posts is a waste of everyone's time so I might as well take the piss, sorry that my post was particularly offensive to you!
I think I posted to what would be perceived by the clappers as negative posts before the match started so you can exclude me from that .
We don't have to calm down, and watch the Championship getting closer and closer. We need a manager with the knowledge of the Prem. 8 played. 1 win, 1 drawer, 6 lost. what the hell is happenning. Sharp scored today, Guly did not.
Time to give up on j rod. Mayuka looked sharp when he came on. I would start with Lambert everytime though
Gomarching with the best will in the world I don't think you can argue that your posts are constructive, Destructive yes!
Sorry, bit unfair to single you out probably, intended to be a more general point about the dross posted by the doom and gloomers.
I've been harsh on Rodriguez, but I thought he was okay today. He made a few dangerous runs and had a nice assist. To be fair, Mayuka has played well and I'd like to see him get more action. Not sure what to do there. Lambert should start, which means there's only room for at most one central-ish striker. Rodriguez doesn't look comfortable out side but Mayuka does. I would prefer to see Puncheon make way somehow instead of either Rodriguez or Mayuka if that can be worked out going forward. But it wouldn't have made a difference today. Rodriguez was good, Puncheon was decent, Lambert didn't exactly turn the tide when he came on. Shuffling around the attack won't address the shoddy defense.
In all fairness you have to be gloomy about the way we ship goals and over the opening fixtures there have bee more than a few shockers conceded and for all the talk no one seems to be learning any lessons. However its still earlya nd there are other poor teams in and around us so if we can improve all is not let lost.Keep the faith, for a while longer in any case.
The truth is that we gifted the 3 points to West Ham and that cannot continue to happen. There is no way that we were 3 goals worse than them and it must be so frustrating for NA to watch his team consistantly concede bad goals from individual errors.
