Now then lads,

A bit of holiday weekend fun. Iv'e just been reading through some of the last weeks threads and noticed there's a few about the people on not606 etc and it got me thinking about the madness you have read on both here and 606 over the years and the characters behind a lot of it from the Safc boards and others.

I admit I was a nightmare at times on 606 especially in drink & so far have only had to ask Syd to remove one article from here for the same reason. The reason for the thread though is to ask you to recall people who you have come across from both boards over the years who is as the title says, as mad as a ****ing hatter.

Smug was a sound lad in every way but you always noticed when he was posting when pissed and his recalls of the 70-80's away day fan were brilliant. The mags had a Canadian based lad called roberon who annoying as he was, was actually quite cynical & witty in a perverse kind of way. Then there was cityblue, the Safc obsessed Cardiff fan who took his laptop to matches, who was by far and wide the worst wum ever. Realmickster, Keanes love child and a Safc lad who joined called Roger Brittan, who was as daft as a box of frogs but a good lad to have with you in an argument. Anyway Amsterdam Roger as you are known now, are my choice as craziest but enjoyable poster ever <ok>

So over to you lads now for your choice..

So many Joe, you being one of them. The posters like Big Chris and Bigdowunder come on to try and be outragous but miss the point. The real posters who are the most outragous are the ones who dont try. Roger and Bill are two good examples, Rogers love affair with badger is funny to all but roger and badger and bill, what can I say, his style is one off.
 
rog is as potty as charles dropping diana for camilla,

but his posts are pure class,

he even got onto the poll for being most annoying poster on the mags board,

and they are thick as pig **** and just didn't get him.

my vote would go to master simpson, just plain potty
 
Barts be around for a while, a good lad and crazy with it. Psycho is and was a funny lad too. Syd's had his moments as well as MrRAW..
 
Smug: Now there was a poster with real attitude. He was the one bloke who you felt could have put his hands through cyberspace and throttle Mags at the other side..<laugh>...At the same time his arguments were usually sound and were always worth a read. It would be good to see Smug on this site, and without the restraints of the BBC thought police, I would imagine some of his comments would be quite interesting.
 
Smug was a class poster. I've had the gloves on with him many a time, but it wasn't very often I came out on top..... He pretends to hate all things black and white, but I read him defending us on a Stoke post for some reason. We got on champion after that, and the fact that we've got some mutual mates.

Psycho is also another poster I like reading. Always pops on the Newcastle board to hoy a few grenades.......

RAW I also like, although he took exception to me having a few digs at your fans after they inundated our board after the Wigan game. <ok>

Got to be Billofengland, his post's are like some sort of sublime ****ed up poetry.
On a side note, I want to see more of Cest. where has the Novelist gone?

Some good posts here & sombrero thanks for contributing. I remember me & smug getting whinged about as a couple of old hard men on 606 after we had been discussing attendance at a Notts Forest game in the 80's and the melee that happened. Can smile about that now as I'm picking the pieces up for my partner & child but as we said at the time, 'it was great to be part of it' and the reputation the North East had for breeding the bestest, loyalist fans around. A QPR fan said earlier on a global thread that he can't wait to meet us next season. Don't know wether he meant his team or as a fan but he was the usual handbag swinger so I'll say the latter. Probably never been out of shephards bush in his life and will probably hope he didn't with that attitude after he gets a slap. One thing the internet has taught us is we are all rocky's on here, have huge attitude and are all more braising than we ever would be face to face. That's my downfall, I'm the same wherever and whenever but I do apologise when I go to far. Thanks for the responses lads & remember..

Bills the square root of a Jack Daniels bottle in a nice way. Proud of his heritage and proud to be Sunderland. That does me, no more questions, don't need anymore answers..
 
Thought Smuginantibes was brill at the CRAA baiting, and Cest always has interesting things to say.

As for the CRAAS - Roberon was a total f a n n y, and the Strawberrydrinker was a p r i c k - a match made in heaven.

You don't need to spread the insults out with spaces <ok>:D
 
I took a couple of boxers out to Ontario in 2007 and suggested roberon meet me. He declined and the rest is history. As bart says a fanny and I as one who would have caved his head in. a 'likeable fanny'..
