Maybe not surprising but Woy has selected LESCOTT in place of Cahill................. I repeat LESCOTT!! I don't rate him myself Don't know if Ryan is amongst the subs tonight.
PP I'm with you on Lescott, I think he was ok at Everton but since then he has done nothing that merits being on the England bench never mind the pitch.
P Potter Not surprised tbh, is Ashley hole playing? I've not seen the team yet P.P. My oppinion is Lescott has more experience but hey, so much for looking at future England player's.. Ryan will get his chance eventually.
I cant see Shawx every getting a game when Lescott, Jag and Cahill are fit - we also have to take into account that Smalling and Jones are to come back aswell and whilst not out and out CD's when a squad is selected the fact that they can play other positions will count against Shawx! I find it strange that Lescott made the line up tonight, Cahill had a solid game! It is also strange (IMO) that you play 2 x left footed CB's so Cahill and Jag were the obvious selection for me! Shawx really should have started the last game given the opposition!
Unfortunately you may be right Smithers. He may have to settle for a place in the squad at best. There are too many central defenders available for Woy to call upon, not that I consider them all to be better than Ryan. Perhaps he should have been a midfielder or winger because the likes of Carrick and Milner are crap, going by today's performance.
Just watched the first 30 mins, missed 10 mins of 2nd half! Overall I thought England we're **** useless. Can't feckin pass, can't defend. We were very lucky not to lose that game and WOY blames the pitch?? Poland played on the same one you numpty. Smither's Ryan will not play for England I think we all know he won't. Unless there were to be a mass of injuries. That said, he's as good or better than some of those who played tonight. I've never seen an England team miss-place so many passes EVER! Woy, get a grip and play the RIGHT players. And can Milner actually CROSS a ball? I was just sick of watching too many player's passing it bacwards/sideways then losing the ball.
Totally agree Steve,Rooney ,Carrick,Cleverly and Wellbeck all useless.We`ve got to fancy our chances this weekend if they`re playing. England should be more direct, Crouch would have been an ideal target man,instead they had Defoe on his own. What has Cleverly done to be a regular 1st choice for England? Oh yes , I know , he plays for Man Utd!!
Didn't see any of the game, but from the lime up announced last night I thought we'd probably be ****. Milner, Carrick, Gerrard and Cleverly in midfield? We all moan at Pulis for using too many central players, but at least we have one winger playing, don't think I've ever seen him set up with 4 CM's.
ive said before and ill say again, Emgland are ****!, how on earth are we ranked third in the world?, personally I wouldnt put us into the top 25 teams in the world, thats how bad we are. Thank goodness we have the mighty potters!!!
