Just for fun. Who do you think Swansea's biggest ever flop was? for me was its out of Leroy Lita or Leon Knight!
Who tho could forget this?
Yes he did make up for it, though I'm not sure if it came off his shoulder, more than his head, that nearly didn't go in!...............
I would not call leroy lita a flop, He never played many games but he scored goals.....doing well at brum at the moment..
Hereford boy was Phillips, think Abbot beats him though, as we paid £155,000 for Abbots none skills, but he was gone inside three months, worst striker I have ever seen in a Swansea shirt! Can't remember much about Phillips though, so couldn't have been up to much, but then I presume it was our old Div 3 days at the Vetch, dark days!............
Swansea's greatest striker
I really liked kuqi and he did well for us a lot of the time. He was tearing it up with Oldham last season...15 goals. Biggest flop...Maybe Daryl Duffy after we boughthim...A huge saga about the transfer, because he did so well for us on loan, and when we got him, he couldn't score!
Gota be Martin hayes for me! there have been plenty of flops through the years though..too many to mention! carl heggs ray kennady dave o gorman tony bird friskin
Definitely Martin Hayes - think what he had done in his career... Then he comes to us and was appalling. There's maybe a place on this list for the crap players that inexplicably you have a soft spot for. Shaun Chapple would be mine - possibly because he was comedically bad, but, despite the fact he couldn't run or tackle he did pull of a decent pass every so often and it was always fun when he got his annual goal.
Chapple could have been a great player actually, just playing for a team in the wrong division! and i mean that in a nice way, im sure West Ham were intrested him when he was a nipper?? Chapple should have moved away instead he just got into a drinking culture in his local and that was the end of him really. Darren perret was a fav of mine, had a dogs life cause he was from up cardiff way !! wasnt exactly torres, but he had the hair thing going on way before anyone else ..
I know baldy shaun chappel well. tosh rated him highly but i dont think many of the players in his era would be any good today.....football has moved on to a faster level and not the keeper whacking the ball up the field and everyone chasing it...
"Swansea's greatest striker".........what run after the goal init>>>>>a bit of a gareth edwards fan i reckon>>>>.....see them english trying 2 tackle him>>>>>..<topman>
