Well actually there is another way that could sort a bit of the problem........Pompey Council can actually compulsary purchase the land if Chainrai won't agree to its valuation. I'm sure I read somewhere that they would help do somehing to secure the clubs future. Several councils have done something similar up and down the country in the past. (I don't mean the compulsary purchase, but buying the ground bit)

As I said months ago, I would not be surprised if riding the coat-tails of the Pompey Trust are a bunch of businessmen trying to get the club/ground/land on the cheap.
The trust may take over the club in the short term, but I suspect not far down the line, these businessmen will "increase their donations and for that, will receive a greater say in the running of the club" and once that happens, they are back to being in the hands of individuals who may not have the club's interests at heart.

Maybe, but then maybe not. It would be quite smart for a businessman to hide within the ranks of the Trust, as he would get them to do all the work taking over the club and getting league approval and then like a stalking horse, could emerge with a bit of glory saying he helped them get over the line, before positioning himself onto the board and working from the inside.
Whether anyone believes Portpin (and I understand why they wouldn't), but even Portpin have said a number of times that the Trust isn't what it appears to be. We will see... although knowing the skates, it will drag on and on and on for months yet.

Yes but Portpin would say that wouldn't they and sorry but I feel they lack the integrity to have their word on such matters taken with any degree of seriousness.
Don't know how the PST can take over when Chanrai holds the ownership of the stadium, and he considers it is effectively worth 10 times more than PST's independent valuation. They'll have to go to court and that'll be expensive. Lot of water to pass under this particular bridge yet.
Agreed one article I read has raised them concerns, saying if he wants Chanrai could basically liquidate the club.
Chanrai should cut and run. Take the hit and never think about football ever again. Better to take what is on offer and retain a small degree of honour.

Pompey have been the parcel in a game of "pass the..." amongst a bunch of crooks from Mandaric to Gaydemak to the Fake Sheiks to Chainrai... with the latter being the daft one who was left holding it when the **** finally hit the fan. They are all interconnected, much of the investigation work by PFC fans have proved this, but I'm sure thats only scratching the surface and even "gold old Milan" could be involved (allegedly).
So for Chainrai to wipe his hands of it, it may not be the money thats the issue, possibly just losing face amongst his "partners" is whats keeping him at it (plus the lure of bleeding the sky money and only having to pay 1p in £ of debts, maybe).

People who lend money to others at high rates of interest tend not to just walk away when the loan isn't repaid.

I posted a thread on your forum many moons ago- time to stitch up Chanrai when I suggested that should a new owner other than Chanrai become the new owner, move out of Fratton Park and rent a ground until Portpin's hand is forced to selling the ground at the market price. Groundshare - not sure Brighton would be that keen, or Pompey fans going to SFC. Havant and Waterlooville might be a tad small. How about the Withdean? At the same time Portsmouth City Council has to ensure that the surrounding land is not available for any other purpose other than the eventual redevelopment of Fratton Park.
Don't be too short sighted, god forbid we get into financial free fall again they won't be so kind in return.
If the team move out of Fat Pipes, Chainrai will be free to develop it as he wishes, regardless of what PCC say. The stadium is there because of the team, if the team move no need for the stadium.
It's a shame PST just don't have enough money and well have to do a deal with a developer who gets something in return. Chainrai I suspect would welcome liquidation if he cannot get the club and legal fees to challenge his charge will be too expensive for the trust or administrator. All the time money is being drained out of the club by Birch and his £9k fees and the expensive monthly wage bill the quality over quantity players are drawing.
In the meantime poor ordinary mr creditor still has nothing... Around £80m was their share i believe, wiped away as easy as anything.
But there may also be a reason not to own the club, the Baker Tilly report may give the FL reason to dish out more points penalty and the CPS to charge some ex directors regarding financial irregularities.
Anyway good luck to the trust, I feel they need it.
I am sure the Silverlake could accomodate them for a couple of seasons if it came to needing another ground, it's next to their training ground and they would have no problem packing the park!
The best solution is one that would never happen. Let them use ours temporarily. Extra income is always useful and it might even ease some of the hatred that a few feel for us.
