Some months back Michael Emelano came in for a lot of stick by some on here and I wondered how they viewed things now.

We have a crop of youngster like we've never had before and the potential of the youth and loaned players is as good as any team in the PL for sure. Not only that but all the players like Paizon and Oscar can not stop saying just how much they enjoy the club, the magnificent support they get and just how happy they are.
I'm sure we'll have let the odd player go we should have kept, maybe Sinclair, but as time goes on players like Borini/Di Santo look what they are,not Chelsea standard and certainly not the standard we have now.

The future is going to be an exciting time with the quality of young players we have and Michael is no small part of that.

Still to early to say really.

Bertrand aside, we are still not getting youth products into the first team. Where that blame lies is probably a mixture of factors but until that happens, its hard to call the youth and scouting set up a success just yet.

I've never really taken to the bloke--he seems a bit of a creep! What he's achieved however deserves a pat on the back

    this <ok>

Piazon fair enough, but Oscar? He was already a well known prospect across the world and £20m isn't really coup of the century for someone of his age and experience. In hindsight it may well look to be a brilliant deal but it's still a gamble.

Even one of his stools would be better than that Spud nonce Frank Arnesen. <ok>

I obviously failed but I was trying to highlight a bit more than just who we'd bought. Michael is responsible for a whole lot more than that. How the youngsters are handled and looked after is also important and as they keep saying the club is doing that very well.

Our youth system is great. There are lots of players people tend to forget as well. Kalas? Remember him? Still a Chelsea player, and damn good one at that.

The trouble with our club is that it's almost impossible to find out who is doing what. Avram Grant for instance , was manager but JT and Lamps did all the strategies, so the rumour goes. So what part Michael Emenelo actually plays is anyones guess.
Still, whoever is running the show with the youngsters is doing a fine job, as we have talent to burn. If it is Emenelo then , congratulations to him, things look brilliant for the future.

Yeah, I know what you meant which is why I agreed with 100 years, it's too early to tell but yes I agree thus far he is doing well in that respect. Our youth system has always been brilliant, we just rarely bring them into the first team.

CP I think Clarkey was the real brains behind the Grant tenure.

Drogs, you are probably right, Clarkey was behind the success of Grant, but you get the point, we never know !!!!
Still good work by Emenelo, if it is him that is doing it !!!!!!

I think Clarkey had a lot to do with it initially but what changed for Avram was the passing of Lamps Mum. The way he handled the whole affair raised his stature amongst many of the senior players. There was quite a lot thought he should get a 2nd season after that.

Do you honestly think these players will be given a chance?

I imagine Oscar loves the amount of money Chelsea are paying him; I imagine his main priority is Brazil.

Will De Bruyne come back and play? You'll all want signings next summer anyway.
