For the good of the club, they need to be be quiet and let the takeover happen or not if that's the case
 
Cooper needs to step down I'm afraid and let someone else front it. If there was nothing to say, he couldn't help saying something anyway, and much of it this summer has been wide of the mark and sensationalist pap. Too easy to open your gob and then fall into it. 100% accuarte, provable statements are the only way a group like LUST can function, as they cannot be taken seriously otherwise. fans have been let down and Bates will be pissing himself at this latest gaff.

After they've defended themselves from yesterday's non-statement and proven they do have a source, I won't expect them to jeapordize anything to do with the deal, just as they haven't done so far. But total silence isn't necessary, IMO. If they have harmless info to pass on, fair play to them. Leeds fans deserve to know this stuff. Every other fanbase during a takeover seems to get it.

Yawn. If he doesn't speak, he gets similar people to you slagging him off for being silent, and not being in the know. He's walked a fine line with grace and skill, as far as I'm concerned. Like to see anyone else do better in that situation, without looking overly powerless or revealing too much info to become powerful.

Can you really not see the subtleties and difficulties of that position? Is it really so hard to comprehend? Amazing how this forum has turned into its ******ed brother ja606 with the amount of anti-LUST, anti-Leeds fan **** I have to wade through and slap away every day now. Might just browse WACCOE in the future, they all seem to have their heads screwed on a lot more there where these matters are concerned.

Exodus are you a relation of Coopers, because you're the biggest apologist on this site for LUST. Cooper screwed up big time, accept it and maybe LUST will learn a bit, because they've been out of their league when it comes to PR, spin and media control. Massive supporter of LUST last year, but recent events going back before the season started made me think twice. I have no axe to grind, but irrespective of what you think, they have taken a massive backward step since yesterday. No point having a go at me because of this PR fiasco, Cooper brought it on himself, so when our future owners say that they have never spoken to LUST about anything, then who do we believe. LUST have stated right from day 1 that they were speaking to prospective new owners, which just isn't true, or GFH are liars.

I wish them good luck because they only wanted the best for the club and fans, and doing it in their free time, which deserves applause from us all. But something has gone wrong and they may have been led down a dead end on purpose and they fell for it. Or worse, a couple had ideas beyond their remit.

Please remember though that GC is pressured from all angles to tell what he knows. Its an untameable situation to be in and i'm glad its not me putting in the hours for free and taking the stick I can assure you of that.

Damned if you do and all that.....
