Best crisps out now have to be Salt & Pepper Kettle Chips

Best crisps from yesteryear would be smokey bacon flavour Smax

I would give honourable mention to Beef Monster Munch, Sweet Chili Sunbites, BBQ Hula Hoops, Frazzles, Marmite Flavour and McCoys Steak (note the predominance of meat flavour!)

Back in the day I would have to fondly recall Rancheros, salt & vinegar Bones, Burger Bites & Potato Puffs

What on earth have they done to Quavers? Used to like them years ago but now they smell like (I asssume) calcified nob cheese and taste like (I imagine) Tina's chuff would do.

Crisps can divide opinion more than religion or politics so fire away with your own choices.

    Roysters T Bone steak.

    Do they still sell "fives"

5p for a packet of crisps these days sounds madness, even though they were tiny

Kettle? I am part of the official-anti-posh-crisp-bands-that-think-they're-all-high-and-mighty-with-their-annoying-font-and-calling-salt-and-vinegar-sea-salt-and-malt-vinegar-or-whatever-the-****-it-is. So, that's a no from me.

I've turned posh recently and refuse to tilt the bag into my mouth with the last few crisps in.

I would never do this in public now.

Best crisps ever were wotsit wafflers..

They hit all the buttons of lumps of MSG flavouring, crunchy yet soft..

Old school cheap crisps were cheeseburger flavour quarterbacks. Only ace that sold them was the vending machine in the swimming baths when I was a kid..

But no question wotsit wafflers were the best no question..

Walkers also did a toasted cheese flavour which were rather good.

Skips and Quavers are mouthfuls of magic, likewise all Salt and Vinegar crisps (especially the following brands: Walkers, Seabrook, Kettle Chips and McCoy's). Pickled Onion Monster Munch were great, and I also enjoy the occasional crispy rendezvous with the Ketchup and Cheese and Chive flavours made by Seabrook.

Although not a crisp, an honourable mention goes to Smiths' Scampi Fries
