sorry to bring his name up again but do you think we miss him, i think we do a bit apart from his other side, at least he gave us some bite in the middle of the park at times & scored a few goals & on his day is a good player, would welcome joey the footballer only, your thoughts.
 
Strangely yes we miss his grit in midfield but I can live without the whole off field Barton circus
 
If there was a Joey Barton that existed without the faux-philsophy, the cynical, snarling needless violence and the compulsion to bite the hands that feed him, then yes, particularly if that same Joey Barton was a consistent, combative, ne'er say die leader.

A big 'if', though.
 
We must be in the sh1t if we're looking on him fondly, he wouldn't get in our midfield.

Don't see how the Barton I remember( the one that can't pass) gets anywhere near the midfield that I'd like to see picked. Plus he's an odious little twat.
 
What we need north is someone who ain't afraid to put his foot in, rough up the oppo if you like I have to be brutally honest he faurlin, park, granero are all to pussy for that job, diakite even would be off after 5 minutes
