At the moment Norwich and QPR are in about the same situation as regards league position. Ask yourself this question who would I rather have managing my team Chris Houghton or Mark Hughes. I know who I would vote for so all the doom mongers get off his back and give him your 100% support.

So just because you are doing the same as a club who are hugely underachieving currently and are in last spot everything is alright?

Sounds a silly thing to say to me

I don't think anyone is saying everything is okay and I am certain most would say it most definitely is not but the difference is Mark Hughes has had near unlimited funds available to him since January to put a team together and Chris Hughton has had 2 months with very limited funds to try and do the same. That is why there is a feeling of not needing to panic at this time, maybe in another 5 months if things do not improve but just not now <ok>

Not sure Leeds are in a position to criticise...for many reasons.

Anyway, nobody is saying its ok but we do have faith that Hughton can turn it around.

In comparison to being on the verge of administration and playing in League One, we are alright.

    these are the facts:

off the pitch, norwich city football club is in its healthiest state for many, many years, possibly ever. on the pitch, we are struggling in a very difficult league but we have the potential and capability to stay up once again. if we go down, we have a wage structure in place so players won't need to be sold and we'll have four years parachute payments. we'll also have a very capable, proven championship manager in charge with a squad easily capable of bouncing back, even without more signings.

    so to conclude:

we are hardly in a mess. we just haven't started the season very well!!

While I admit you are right but QPR fans are panicking about there situation (or some are) and at the end of the day its not about how much you spend or how long you have had to build your squad, its about the points tally. And lets admit Norwich will be fighting relegation this season so every point counts and to get underserved points is everything. You haven't done that yet and I'd be worried, if I was a Norwich fan I wouldn't be calling for Hughton's head or anything, hes at least a half decent manager

<laugh> who said anything to do with being on the verge of admin and playing league one. I'm assuming you have no idea on Leeds united's current situation. Although I do admit prem football is better, only if you can stay there though

It think what Thai is saying, like supers, is if we were to get relegated it wouldn't be a I disaster and we have the ability to get straight back up.

Also, what norwichfan is saying is, worrying about administration and getting out of league one is much worse than worrying about relegation to the championship with a good manager and in a good financial position so josh I suggest you stop trying to mock us!

Well just to let you know I wasn't mocking you in the slightest, I was giving a genuine opinion.

QPR are pretty much in the same situation and the reason i would be worrying is because in all fairness QPR have a better squad. They are underachieving currently and are likely to pick up whereas you guys will have a long tough season where you need to pick points up however possible and you haven't been doing that, good starts for teams battling relegation in the prem can be vital to their survival.

How is what you're saying not mocking?

Also, you must be having a laugh? QPR is full of over rated, overpaid crap. I know I'm biting but Norwich is currently underachieving as well. A good start isn't always needed. We didn't have a great start last season and look where we ended up. I know I'm biting but I don't care!

ok, first of all josh, the comment about league one and administration was not a jab at leeds. it was referring to norwich's situation three years ago when we were in league one and days away from administration.

secondly, you are mocking. yes, i would agree that qpr are underachieving at present, but then so are we, so what's the difference? there will be six or seven teams in danger of being relegated this season and we will be one of those, but only three go down. we are hardly doomed simply because we've made a slow start. wigan had just 5 points by end of november last season and stayed up comfortably!

I thought you were having a jab at leeds and thats my mistake <ok>

I'm not saying your doomed but saying that your squad hasn't vastly improved from last season whereas teams like QPR has. I think the difference is that I see QPR's case very differently to yours whereas you guys believe there pretty similar. The point is your making it hard for yourselves and its not gonna get easier. I have always thought that the second season of a team in a higher league is more important. This is where you genuinely have the opportunity to stabilise as a premier league club and currently I think your going about it the wrong way

And me portraying an honest opinion isn't really mocking to me and I wasn't trying WuM in anyway at all

Just to confirm, as pointed out, I was saying:

WE WERE ON THE VERGE OF ADMINISTRATION AND IN LEAGUE ONE..

.ffs, why do Leeds fans think everything is about them!? ;)

In comparison to where we were, we are in a good position. It's very early to be panicking, Wigan are usually in the bottom 3 all season but manage to stay up consistently, the season is far from over.

In regards to QPR, I can understand them crapping themselves as they are paying more on wages they can afford , I would imagine. They have a small stadium, and the PL money and that from Fernandes is the only thing making it possible. I dread to think how much their weekly wage bill is, and for what!? Bottom of the division...that's what.

Start mentioning how much QPR are spending and the fans start pointing out how much they have spent on transfer fees, but what they seem to forget is how much they are having to pay them to get them to come to QPR, not just wages but agent fees too. The next Portsmouth if they're not careful.

josh, you do realise its qpr's second season too. you can't apply one set of rules to us and then ignore them for the other!! qpr are a total mess at the moment. we are not. what we are is struggling at the back. this is correctable. most city fans felt we'd be bottom six this season. many qpr fans expected their team to finish top half, maybe even challenge for europe. our expectations are different. we've improved our squad this summer. i have no concerns even if we go down but of course it would be better to survive again and build from there. if we go down, we can arguably become a stronger side in the championship than we are this season in the premier league, because our wage cap will allow us to hold on to our best players AND use parachute payments to buy more players. if qpr go down, they could go bust. slightly different reasons for wanting to stay up, i'm sure you'll agree. i'd rather not go down the 'all or nothing' route thanks. some fans probably don't understand that perspective, but i want my club to get stronger year on year but if that means going down once or even twice to do that in the long term, i'm more than happy. not done wba any harm...
