http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/spor...paul_lambert_the_freedom_of_norwich_1_1573623 Norwich Council had discussions with him with regard to bestowing the "Freedom of the City" on him!
Lambert was equally uncomfortable about being elevated to the Hall of Fame after just two years. Another indication that he never regarded Norwich City as more than a temporary step on his rise to the very top. He knew he might leave at any time, and recognised the potential for embarassment.
Fully agree........................ apart from the small matter of trying to extort a rather large sum of money from our coffers, which we can ill afford
2m is not the cleaners. Not nice if it went against us, but we'd survive. The important thing is that the entire club gets behind Hughton now. He's the future.
How many more times is football going to be decided by reasons and matters other than football? £2M doesn't sound too much but its two years wages for a good Prem player. Why does he want to sue us when he wanted to leave on his terms? No money or animosity needed to be involved. We all loved him while he was here but its football and we move on. We have a new manager and I assume Birmingham were well compensated and they have moved on.
Well said. I will forever appreciate what he has done for this club. But we need to forget about him and move forward with Hughton.
If you read the article linked from the OP it's pretty clear that this is a game of tit-for-tat.Villa think that the best form of defence is attack.
