What is this obsession with attendances BlueZzzz? I bet you're a train spotter type aren't you! please log in to view this image
To be fair to the Spuds, they normally do sell out at Old Trafford and the Etihad. But that support in Greece is shocking!
I think I used that exact same picture replying to him before The picture is of the stand about 20 minutes before the game kicked off. If it didn't fill out I don't blame them, the home fans didn't bother turning up either and neither did our team.
It's a thursday night game in Greece, it's not easy to get to and hardly cheap! Newcastle United have fantastic away fans, but even we could get more than about 100 fans to Atromitos. It was gonna cost us a fortune to get down there, to sit in a **** ground and have to get days off work. Sometimes you've just got to be reasonable and accept that you don't have to be willing to pay anything to see your team pay, to be considered a true fan. Football is important to all of us, but we do have other things going on in our lives.
Come on London, this is clutching at straws a bit 'ere! Give em a break they are in the U ropey league after all
Amazingly they did not sell out either of their Champions League fourth place deciders v City at the Etihad in May 2010 and may 2011. And only optioned 1800 for Old T too those seasons. Chelsea would most likely have sold out in those circumstances. Arsenal definitely.
Yawn who cares, just making out that we have a small club mentality by constantly writing pointless crap about other teams to try and get one up on them, you're getting as bad as Hoddle is a god
Well said . I'm very pleased the recession has passed Chelsea supporters by, but trips to Greece for a game of football, in a league few of us care about in the early stages, are expensive.
Oh, boo hoo. The height of the recession did not stop you taking 15,000,000 to the Bernabeu and 12,000,000 to the San Siro! And the recession did not stop you mocking Chelsea for advertising tickets on Talksport either.
Its an expected weekly wind up that we always look forward to. It wouldn't be so funny if they blanked it but as the man said "Build it and they will come"
we sell out pretty much every away game regardless. Apart from Citeh and Liverpool away last season. Citeh was because it was a mid week game. We took about 2000. Liverpool because we knew that the team would be weak due to our champions league commitments so we only took about 1500. Going all the way to Greece is a tough ask for Spurs fans in a competition they won't take too seriously. Tbh if it were Chelsea in that situation then I wouldn't expect many Chelsea fans to make the trip.
You can call it biting all you want, I'm just happy to put you right from time to time. If that gives you the kick you crave so beit
it boils down to Spurs fan's have got a life,so they don't have to fill it up by having to go to every game
I think we've been very unkind here to a side thats been very generous to us , over the years pointswise! Tash, Spurs D, YV and Totsfan, thanks to you and all your fellow Spuds for the contribution you have made to our silverware collection over the years! I promise you it is much appreciated in the Chelsea fraternity! I think one or two of my Chelsea buddies on here owe you a big thank you!
