Aha! I knew this thread would come back to haunt me. In all seriousness he's had a cracking game, looked very assured. Nobody would be happier than me to see him back on form.
Anyone else notice he has his "bad days" when we're short staffed in defence? Any surprise Carragher is frequently on the field when Pepe has a bad day- but not when he has a good day? Think he is still one of the best keepers. Although- we did start leaking more goals in about the time Roy Hodgson tried to convince him to be more like a British Keeper. Looks like Roy may have succeeded in making Pepe a little more British... Seriously though, I think we'd be hard pressed to improve on him.
He showed last night why he's still one of the best but I have a feeling if you looked at saves to goal ratio this year then Reina and Liverpool as a whole would be bottom of the list. Teams tend to be scoring against us with just one or two shots which is worrying. I've no doubt Reina will get back to normal self, but if wouldn't mind if we got a decent youngish back up in Jan/Summer to put him under serious pressure. Lets face it, he probably knows no matter how bad he plays, he'll still be 100 times better than Jones.
