Inspired by another thread where the completely random and useless footballers we've had on loan in the past were mentioned, how about a thread where people can name the most random footballers they can think of from the past. Must confess, myself and a few friends have played this game in the pub! Some cracking blasts from the past crop up. Doesn't have to be ex-Norwich - can be from anywhere. Here's a few to get us started... Preki Orlando Trustful Ronnie Eklund Marco Boogers Temuri Ketsbaia
Peter Mendham, Greg Downs, Robert Rosario, Alan Lee, Trevor Putney, John Deehan, Mick Channon, Leroy Lita, George Reily
Mick Channon played for you boys at the back end of his career! I remember the old windmill action with his arms when he scored a goal. A bit before your time Supers John Bond loved to sign old has beens if I remember, that's who Jewell obviously took his inspiration from!
yes, naturally i know who mick channon is but he played about 50 times for england! he's not very 'random' and he's not exactly faded into obscurity either has he... mind you, neither has peter mendham!
david linighan, brother of our very own carthorse andy and binner to boot (literally) how about regi blinker or william prunier
Mark Barham, Dale Gordon, Darren Eadie, Jeremy Goss, Fleming (dirty bastard), Gary Smegson, Dave Watson & Dave Watson!
He took out Darren Bent and denied him an obvious goal scoring opportunity but didn't get sent off! Unlike Delaney but hey lets not start all that bollocks again! Robert Fleck, Ruel Fox (Now back in Ipswich), Keith Bertschin, John Polsten
Carl Cort, Maceo Rigters, Chris Killen quite a few more loans in recent years. Especially when a certain manager was in charge. Watched Zemma Abby play last season as well
Which young players have Norwich let slip through their fingers over the years that went on to become football stars elsewhere? For example at Ipswich we could have signed the young Paul Gascoigne in Bobby's days along with Ruud Gullit and we let Kevin Phillips go to Sunderland when he was ready to sign for us.
Didn't we let Jaaskelainen slip through our fingers also using the 'too short' excuse? Gaetano Giallanza was a good one, on fire in pre-season, played three games, got injured and never heard from again
Ah Julian Brellier! One of Norwichs finest signings. He put in some top class displays. Wheres Elvis Hammond these days?
