I would just like to issue a heart felt plea to those of you who are having second thoughts about Chris Hughton. Please stick with him as he deserves your unquestioning loyalty at this difficult time. Do not rush to judgement afterall he inherited this team in the main from Paul Lambert! He needs time to sort out the deadwood and to stamp his own style of play and unique personality on the team.

Managing a football club in decline isn't easy, take it from me I know this only too well! Hughton needs to be given at least until the end of the season to complete the job he has begun. He is definately the right man for you as he comes with a wealth of experience of managing in the Premiership. He guided Newcastle to the Championship title a few seasons back and has recently guided Birmingham to the play-offs last season so he comes with an impressive CV.

Take heart dear friends Chris Hughton will do all that is necessary! Best wishes for the rest of the season.

<applause>

Excellent post! I hope McNasty takes it onboard! <ok>

I am a bit disappointed with this effort of yours JWM.

I thought you had a much better, sharper and original sense of humour than that piece of drivel.

You have let me and yourself down JWM.

I know you can do better.

How do your wife and children feel knowing that you prefer spending time on your local rivals message board instead of having some quality family time together?

Please don't be offended.

A case of Pots & Kettles methinks!

I am only showing a little East Anglian solidarity for you and this is all the thanks I get!

Can i just say, JWM a thoughtful and balanced post, something which i would expect to see on our board from out northern friends after such a defeat!

wow, this is a painfully bad wind up attempt.

truly painful.

had it been a real post, therefore ignoring the drivel about clubs in decline etc, then i would say:

"yes. keep hughton. he's a good manager, we've just had a poor start results-wise. would you sack a new manager six games into his career based on three defeats from six? would you have sacked brendan rodgers last week?"

idiot <ok>

There seems to have been a great deal of animosity created over the weekend on our boards and I would just like to say that I am a little surprised by some of your reactions. I thought this was a forum that was welcome to one and all. I have not written anything that can be construed as personal abuse so I dont really know what the problem is. Perhaps its the case that we are only welcome when you are winning!
