Dan - I'd be questioning his right to move you on.

If the pathway is a public right of way - you are entitled to pass and repass along the way, stop to rest or admire the view, or to consume refreshments, providing you stay on the path and do not cause an obstruction.

If the pathway is a permissive route, then the owner has given permission for them to be used by the public, but may withdraw that permission if he/she wants to.

If it's in the first category, then the Italian in the suit can't move you on. If it's in the second, then I'd question that said Italian is actually the owner (don't the club rent the facilities?), meaning he can't move you on either.

A golf cart on a public footpath? The plot thickens!

Perhaps he is the one who should be moved on for endangering public safety. ;)
Nah, he was on the university college land (basically the training ground). Lol.

As I mentioned in the nest its a marked public footpath and right of way. The club do rent the facilities and have recently renewed the lease.

Well Dan, it goes to show that people/players/staff at WFC read this forum otherwise why would they want to move you on. Well done to Bolton for clearing up a few points on British footpaths......maybe the Italians would like to improve their knowledge a bit!

NB I'm not saying anymore cos I don't want to wake up next to an old horses head in the morning.........................mind you, I've been waking up to an old cows head for the last twenty years. Ha!

I dont think they do, it was only one person and he has not been there before. The coaches all talk to me and have never asked me to leave. And today dad and i chatted to Giancarlo Corradini who joked with us and when dad said about watching on monday he said yes. I guess we shall see what happens.
