Shame you couldn't find room to express the record of one of the most successful Bristol born footballers. Lloyd played for Bill Shankly's hugely succesful Liverpool where he was a regular at CB replacing Ron Yeates. Liverpool's training and fitness sessions were well known as the physically toughest in the football league. Then on to Brian Clough's Forest where he was even more successful. He played for England and was a European Cup winner.
He was a big lad but in his playing days never a fat b....rd
Oh! Of Course! Now I remember. Bill Shankly bought him from Bristol Rovers. All is explained!!.

As usual you have missed a couple of points,1) my mrs went to Filton Ave Junior School in the same class and her memory was he was a snotty nosed little sleeve wiper,2)my memory,he was a fat bastard and ended up running a pub in Nottingham ..

Then the cruncher...Funny,different memories, different people, especially when you put them together,he was a big fat bastard, with a snotty nose, which he wiped on his sleeve in an old pub in Nottingham.......One memory pre Mr Shankly and Mr Clough and the other post Mr Shankly and Mr Clough..

It was supposed to be a joke for us City fans on our own forum, christ you're becomimg a twisted bitter, old, sanctimonious blue Saph, the very crime you used to accuse all of us City boys of being, only RED..Chin up..

Now, now boys - behave yourselves or you'll both be sent to your rooms - you should both be setting a good example to the younger posters!

God, Sapphire has become so bitter.

You should cheer up! at least you have signed the Scottish bad boy tonight he could probably keep you from relegation if he stays out of prison for 10 minutes.

As usual I missed nothing Wiz.
Your little joke was answered with another joke if you read the detail of my reply, rather than concentrating on the bits which irritate you.
As a Bristol football supporter, I redressed the balance of your joke with another one.
Lloyd almost unquestionably achieved more success than any other Bristol born footballer.
Unfortunately for you, he chose to play for the Rovers and not City.
I know you guys love to WUM the ‘fat’ players on the other side of town, but you had a few of your own. Even Big John was a pretty chubby chap and wasn’t there a chap called Fatty Wedlock…………..

So you have missed the point again as you did over the tax issue.

If you took those red glasses off for a few minutes you might see that the sky is BLUE.(at least when the sun shines)
Does that mean that the Rovers were made in heaven?

Keep up the good work Wiz. We all luv you really!

God you lot have really got it bad,you are fighting battles with out reason, making A great lump out to be more successful than,Geoff Bradford,Alfie Biggs,Nigel Martyn and Gary Mabbut(all "gas" and all better)...

Be personal if you wish but come on,we all like your intellect, your point's of view on unification, your ground-sharing phylosophy and how everything in the blue world is heavenly and we on the southside are the forces of darkness, you lot being the Barca of the 4th,the biggest club in Bristol, more history, the family club..

With all of this success, massive popularity, why,oh why are you turning so bitter, you should be over the moon,I revel and am proud to be a Bristol City RED..

I respect your points of view but I only really care what City boys have to say,so what you lot think of me does not have any relevance,so chin-up,you are so lucky...<ok>

    Just a short response.
None of those great players you mention ever achieved as many quality medals as LLoyd.

Unlike you, I have said nothing to you, or of you, of a personal or derogatory nature. Your last comment supports any comment I made about your views.

I quite like discussing things with you actually. Just think its a shame that anything blue seem to get your red rag going!

Irony... You are only posting because you cant stand to see any perceived criticism of anything blue however small. This is a Reds board We can put what we like!

    You're getting very bitter...

I would have to agree with you Sapphire, for fans of a club that are doing fairly well, they ain't half touchy and bitter.

    Classic inferiority complexes!

    Banksy

When you have bought and paid for as many gate entrances to see Bristol City play fooball as have I over fifty years, then I think you can feel qualified to question my stance.
I will make my comments on whichever Bristol Board I feel the need.

By the way I quite like the daft comments you post on the Blue Board!!
