OK folks it's back to the proper stuff on Saturday!

Should be a great game to watch. Everton have made a great start to the season. A poor result at Leeds last night but they had made 6 changes from the side that easily won at Swansea. They look very impressive going forward particularly down the left with Baines and Piennar. Fellaini has also been in great form and seems to be a greater threat this season. Watching their game on Saturday though they were very open at the back and Swansea had several chances to score even after Dyer was sent off.

For Saints confidence should be high and the lads must feel they can score against any-one. I assume Nigel will start with the side that beat Villa but J Rod must have impressed him last night and is knocking loudly at the door.

I'm going for a 2-1 win for Saints!

If the team that played the Manchester clubs turns up, we will have a chance. I think we are better than our position suggests, because we are still learning. There will be plenty of ups and downs this season and we must hang on for the ride. I've gone for a draw.

Any positive result on Saturday will be a bonus. Everton will be hurting but by not winning it could create doubts in their minds, if we get it right, a little bit of luck, a few good decisions and who knows what might happen.

Everton are my least favourite club in the whole wide world*. When they play Pompey I hope Pompey beat them that demonstrates my low opinion of them.

So I am hoping we are at our very best and come home with all 3 points.

All to do with a certain full back called Bailey. Some may remember the chant "We hate Bailey and we hate Bailey. We are the Bailey haters.".

Boruc in goal for me. Gazza showed last night that he's too inexperienced for PL football. He was hardly tested against Villa. We need a keeper who's going to be commanding coming for crosses. Judging by last nights butterfingers, that is not Gazza at the moment.

Same team that beat Villa more or less IMO. Baines is a big player for them and we're not going to stop him by defending, we'll only do that by taking the game away from him.

One change I'd make is to put Hooiveld at left back. If Baines overlaps, our defence will come across to deal with it, leaving Fellaini or Anichebe to pile in on the left-back at the far post. Both of those are considerably bigger than Fox or Clyne and they wouldn't provide much of an aerial challenge. Hooiveld is better equipped to deal with the ball into the box and the big bloke at the back post. Fox doesn't really get forward much and it's not as if Clyne would get the freedom of Goodison either, so we wouldn't miss out.

I'm really looking forward to this one mainly cause its going to be my first away game of the season (stupid points system) Any way I'm confident of getting a result but am also fairly sure we will have to score atleast 2 goals to do this. i'd like to see us line up like this.

    Davis

    fonte jos yoshi

    clyne fox
    Morgan

    puncheon ramirez lallana

    Lambert

subs, gazza, richardson, davis, mayuka, jrod, chaplow, cork

Boruc hasn't played for 4 months. He won't exactly be squeaky clean. I'd stick with Gazza.

While your post makes sense I shudder to think what would happen if Hoover played at full back. No where near mobile enough for me to play in that posisition and I think he would get a new one torn for him, I'd go for second half villa team.

Agree. I know keepers don't have to be match fit in the same way as an outfield player but 4 months is a long time.

I didn't watch the game last night so i didnt get to see how well richardson played? but unless he had a terrible game he will be at right back with Clyne switched to the left he seemed very comfortable there on Saturday. I'm feeling very confident as well! I feel we can win & score against Everton but I think we will concede goals, final score 3-2 to us COYR's!!!!

Boruc had been training with Everton recently so may not be completely unfit, just lack of match practice, I assume his International clearance did not come through in time for last nights game.

No I'm not! Just my opinion that Gazza could be found wanting with someone that is as dangerous as Fellaini is in the air.

I feel that we have an excellent weapon against influential attacking midfielders in Schneiderlin, however I'm not sure he has the physical presence to deal with Fellaini as well as he has with others

Have to get in Fellaini's face early. He has a bad habit of picking up yellow cards so let's get him under pressure early.
