The supermod is a guy who goes by the name tag Brb. In the spirit of openness I can tell you I PM'd him today in relation to Casual Fan. I set out why I felt that his complete banning from the board was unjustified, namely:

1: If Toon fans wanted him banned from their board because of a rather innocuous video that was up to them.
2: Casual Fan (aka ShanghaiSwan) could be an abrasive bugger at times but was less gratuitously insulting on our board than others who are still here.
3: The fact that he can re-register is irrelevant. Banning someone globally for not really doing much wrong is the thin end of the wedge and my impression from Dilli's thread was that most here disagreed with it. Looks like we've already lost (potentially or otherwise) a regular and valued contributor in Breezy over this - that's how strongly he feels over it. I really hope he changes his mind.

Sorry, guys, but offend or please I couldn't let this go. I've had the odd spat with Casual myself, but you can't just give someone a total ban when they've done very little wrong. I've no desire to criticise Dilli as the job of a mod is a tough one, and I've been a big proponent of letting them get on with the job. But this was out of order.

If you agree, you should PM the supermod as I did asking that Casual be reinstated at least on boards other than the Toon one. Don't know if it'll do any good but at least my conscience is clear in that I tried. <ok>
 
So as a poster then is it ok for Casual to abuse me every single day for weeks on end then ?

Sorry Aussie but I do see this as having a go at me.

I counted 5 or 6 casual fans that's all. You're all happy for me to mod when it suits but want me to turn a blind eye when it doesn't suit. Eg, no complaints when the QPR numpty on the weekend was giving it large but ok for casual to play up.

Tell you what, you're all welcome to him.

No of course not. But I've seen no evidence of this. Every single day for weeks on end?? Really??

The only time you've had a serious go at each other was before you were a mod and that's clearly influenced your decision now. You also indicate he was "following you around". Again I've seen no evidence of this either. After your spat you agreed to ignore each other and it died down. That was ages ago. You can't rake that up now surely, and use it as a reason to get rid?

Most posters who expressed a view on your thread disagreed with this nonsense and you can't complain if, when asking for people's views, you don't like the response.

Re the QPR guy, his posts were so obviously outrageous that we just assumed you'd do your job. Sorry about that.
 
Mate, he followed me around various threads and was was spoken to by Ash, if you don't believe me check with him I'm sure he'll confirm, as will Mabon too.

Also I was getting regular pm's giving me stick, it was very unpleasant and he didn't answer me when I asked him to stop.

I would imagine it to be similar to your feud with Phil and Norway and you know how distressing things can get
 
Casual fan will be probably horrified that someone like me is in his corner but to bad for him . Put me down for casual's unjustified banning to be overturned & for our mods to help steer the board in a proper way instead of controlling the board like a pet project or stand aside ... and not just Dilligaf either . Football is taking a back seat to personal grudges & power tripping here these days
 
When were the PM's? What did they say? Why didn't you ban him before? Why now? If this relates to your spat going back months I'm not in the slightest bit interested as that had blown over. What's wrong with someone "following around" another poster on threads?

What it looks like is that grudges have been held and when the opportunity came along to stick the knife in, Dilli duly obliged.

You mention Norway and Dragon, yet both have used language far worse than Casual. They're still here. Nothing was done when Phil repeatedly said I was "menstruating" over the Board. Dilli - you were a mod when this was happening. Dai has a thick skin and I've given him both barrels on occasion but recently he was openly abused on here in quite a nasty way. Again, nothing was done.

Nothing was done previously when Dragon used the words "prick" and "scumbag". NOTHING! I wasn't asking that he be banned at all but he never even got a warning and this now screams of double standards because you've banned a guy seemingly for far less.

You do see the Pandora's box you've opened right? People don't mind rules provided they're applied equitably.
 
Took the words right out of my mouth ! Not just you either . It stared with a quick , no thought , no reason dropping of the stickies that a few members took pride in through to this banning of casual . If it's not broke don''t fix it . You were like a kid in a candy store telling everyone about your (as it turned out , announcement of the casual banning ) upcoming article .

This PATHETIC THREAD has nothing to do with openness or fair play, it is simply a thinly veiled jibe by one poster, KJ, against another he dislikes, namely Dilligaf.

This poster, KJ, has openly admitted his dislike for Dilli and is using the banning of a Troll by a super mod as a vehicle to take a swipe. Grow up man and be truthful.

Have some respect for the good people who post on 606 and stop your bull. Most posters on Swansea 606 know of youre dislike of Dilli, you've said so yourself. This PATHETIC thread is born entirely from this dislike of Dilli and your selfish desire to 'get him back'. How childish and disresectful of you kj.

Stop thinking that the posters here are fools and that we believe for one minute the motives you cower behind are your true reasons. You have flown your colours son and we see you.

I am putting in a PM to request that the SM takes into account your animosity for Dilli as a motivation for your inane actions and that the known Troll stays banned.

I will let you have the last word KJ, from your past posts it would appear that you like to bully and shout down those who disagree with you so you are now IGNORED, along with the Tolls.

Where? When? How? Simply not true. The sad thing is, you know it. Dilli knows this too, as do the regulars here, and it saddens me that he hasn't come out and said so. We have hardly had a cross word. Ever. As you appear to be able to string the odd couple of sentences together why not have a look at my posts and cut and paste for all to see. I'll happily climb down if you're right. Up until this episode Dilli and I have been respectful towards each other, and I supported him as a mod. I still do despite this lack of judgment.

If and when Dilli does the right thing and disavows you of your completely infantile and fantastical comments I'll expect you to put a little salt and pepper on that massive slice of humble pie, Stumpy. <ok>
 
It's obvious now that nothing I say has any effect. Ash has confirmed it too but that falls on deaf ears too.

You have completely mis judged me. Your judgement that I held grudges is wrong. To say otherwise is calling me a liar and I do not tell lies and I find this accusation very insulting.

As for your feud, you know that I asked Phil to lay off and he has. I supported you so why do you assume the worst of me ? You should know me better than that

totally with knackered. in my view casual only retaliated when other people had a pop at him. dilli, you have given me great advice on my thread which i have read and re read, thanks for that, but i feel strongly about this.
 
Dilli - you haven't answered my points. If Casual was guilty of sending you abusive PM's in recent times after your spat had apparently blown over then he should be banned (unless they were retaliatory). Most of us would support that. But that's not what's being said is it?

Also, will you please set Stumpy straight? We both know we've always got on.
 
This is getting ridiculous <doh>

Casual was an annoying argumentative sod, but I as I stated on a thread last week, I didn't have a problem with him and was more than happy to argue my points with him till the cows come home.
Personally I don't think a full scale ban was in order, but I'm just speaking from my point of view based on my run ins with him and what I've seen.
However, I did see a lot of his sly digs at Dill and have even asked him to drop it myself because it was getting boring more than anything.
Dilligaf has made a decision based on a lot more than what I or anyone else has seen, and as far as I'm concerned I have no reason to doubt his word about the PM's or his motives for calling for the ban.
I would welcome casual back as he was, or under a new name, but that's because he's done nothing to me.

Very early on I had my suspicions that he wasn't a Swansea fan but he was very subtle about the way he went about it, having said I didn't see that he did anything that justified a total ban.

If it was the case that there was hidden agenda with him, I think he's succeeded now and he's probably looking in as a guest chuckling to himself at the way every one is turning against one another.
 
Aussie, I'm sorry I didn't make it clear now that I read it back, he was abusive After I became mod. Repeatedly so as well which is why it's so frustrating. I can assure you I ignored as much as I could but it just didn't stop.

Also FAO everyone, I've always got on with Aussie and have no problem which is why I'm so surprised at all this business. Always considered him to be a good guy.

So let's be clear, Dilli. You complained to the supermod about Casual's ongoing and recent and abusive PM's to you at the same time that he was apparently misbehaving by posting a rather innocuous video on the Toon board?

Just so we're clear because frankly, that sounds like ****. Sorry Dilli, but this looks as if you've grasped an opportunity for some payback and if I'm wrong then I'll apologise. If I'm right that's really sad.

So Dragon gets a polite request to "lay off" when he openly abuses a fellow poster repeatedly, whilst Casual gets a full ban for retaliating in the face of huge provocation (you, stumpy and others were guilty of this and we all know it, so less of the holier than thou please) and for some old PM's he sent you some time ago.

THAT'S what it looks like.

I despise injustice anywhere, even if that means supporting Cardiff fans (if he ever was one!). This stinks and many regulars are uncomfortable with it. You can't ignore those views and take the criticism personally. You invited those views yourself.
