He got lucky in the 1st half as the Spuds had the wrong tactics with their players out of position in the wrong formation, and we scored. 2nd half the Spuds reacted to match us with the 4-4-1-1, and they took away our width and we let Bale run amok. Goodbye Hughes.
A bit hasty that Yappy. I'm not a big fan of Mr Overcautious, but we were better than Spurs til they scored today, and bossed the midfield til then. But we need to improve in and around both penalty areas. Hopefully M'bia will help us near the back, I'm more worried about up front, where we really need Cisse to start firing, and for that he need's to be on from the start.
Their players out of position? What about us with Onuoha as left back and Dyer as right back. It's this kind of mentality, always looking for the negatives that brings this board down. We created lots of chances and played loads of positive football. Even after going down we continued to attack. Hughes out? Tactics spot on. Silly mistakes cost us dearly, but nothing that Hughes could have done to prevent them.
I'm no fan of Hughes, but I agree with a lot of what Oslo has said. We were the better team in the first half and we have some great things to look forward to. However, I have to question why MH started with SWP and Cisse on the bench. It makes no sense to me. His days will soon be numbered.
When you think about it, only the Swansea and Chelsea results have been unexpected so far (and the Chelsea draw was an expected defeat). Most clubs would have been happy with a draw at Norwich and most would expect to lose against City and Spurs away. Only things I'm really unhappy about apart from the result, is our sense of purpose up front and the ongoing fact that we lack the character to force a result from a reverse. Loads of positives today in our competitiveness, passing and getting forward. Haven't anything like this from us in years.
I'm no fan if Hughes either and our old crock injury list makes grim reading but we're playing well and unable to convert this to points Too early to be calling for his head
you sir are exactly the breed of fan this club doesn't need,is there a motorway near you? well go play chicken you feckin moron
To call for Hughes' head when our performances are improving with each match is on the insane-side of crazy. It's a call of which Flavio Briatore would have been proud. Can't be more dismissive than that!
We are improving Essentially we were as good if not better than Spurs and Chelski. We did not disgrace ourselves versus Citeh If we had played Norwich today, we would have walloped them... So it all comes down to one bad result vs Swansea Onward and upwards....fingers crossed the injury list does not grow any further...all the good work Sparky is doing is being undone by hamstrings etc. Yappy go and Yap somewhere else...you are not wanted here
So much this, top man Goldie Hope Cisse stay on the bench, been pants every time he's played this season. Doesn't deserve a starting place, it has to be earned and he hasn't done that yet.
Cock off yappy. That was a cracking match, very unlucky not to come away with a result there. Onwards and upwards, URs.
