From the looks of that, Evans was quite lucky to stay on. He wasn't quite as wild as Shelvey, but off the floor and showing his studs at the point of contact. Stuart Holden has a very good point.

Evans doesnt even look at Shelvey and the angel he comes in makes it far less dangerous.

Evans lucky to get up from that really. Foot planted so always the danger he gets a broken leg.

Evans not only gets to the ball first, he also connect with his side foot. Shelvey is a thug and an embarrassment to his little club

I think he will get a fair ban for this red, there will be no appeal. To be honest you wont miss the lad much, looked poor since the start of the season
I don' t support either club. I'm an unbiased neutral so stop making stupid assumptions.
If you really think Evans tackle wasn't a stud showing, two footed illegal challenge then you really are clueless.

RE Berbnanindez;
How can an appeal committee give Evans a red you moron? You're so blinkered it's laughable, how you cannot see that Evans went in two-footed is beyond me, if Shelvey was red then Evans was too, simple as.

Two footed, studs showing=RED CARD!
I rest my case!

It just isnt though.

It really really isnt a red card. I mean how. That still shows why Shelvey was sent off for me. The gif also shows why Shelvey was sent off.

None of them show any reason for Evans to be sent off. As I said, he was lucky he wasnt seriously injured by it.

Shevley's was a mistimed one footed challenge, Evans was a mistimed two footed challenge with studs showing. Evans got lucky, that's all there is to it!
