The junior Dubs absolutely hosed Meath in the minor match.

Mayo need to get to grips with this. fairly fast. I'd hate to see this get away from them. The poor ****s have been through the wringer.

Good game, well done Donegal and hard luck Mayo. I wanted Donegal to win because they got slated last year by everyone for playing a horrible brand of football as if nobody had ever seen it before. They did take puke football to another level but I thought it was unfair the amount of abuse they got considering every county in Ireland plays puke football theese days and teams like Dublin and Kerry actually get praised for playing it. Jim McGuinness should give them muppets in the rte studio a piece of his mind.

Last year was awful. So were Mayo last year. This year they changed it up and that is fair enough. The results this year justify what they did last year.

I don't think there has been anything but admiration for the intensity this year.

Jim McGuinness wouldn't begin press conference until Declan Bogue, who wrote book which led to Kevin Cassidy being dropped, left the room.

Cassidy must be sick over that now, I thought they would miss him, he was a big player for them but their defence has been amazing this year, even their forwards defend like animals.

I suppose the message was clear. **** with me and you are out the door. Losing a player of that calibre was worth it to get 30 other guys throwing their lot in with that ethos. They have come a long long way in a short period of time.

In fairness Mayo have too. London should have beaten them at the start of last summer and now look at them. James Horan has done a great job.

Apparently not, because there are 3 of their winning team still alive. [according to bbc2]

The Mayo curse is comical. I know most people know its total bollox but there are really some people who really think that curse is the reason Mayo have'nt won Sam since 1951.

In all their final losses, only 1996 sticks out as being particularly harsh defeat.

No doubt the better side won last sunday. I am not so sure in 96.

That curse has messed with their psyche, I am certain of it. The thing is, James Horan has created a side without a soft underbelly. All he needs now is a bit of luck and a couple of better players and i think they can get the job done. If it isn't next year, it could be another 4-5 before they get their **** together.
