It would be realy bad if we can't beat a side that hasn't recorded a victory against us since 2007. They have a chance, as they will be starting the game with 11 players due to Rooney being out injured.
Slev, look, its very simple. 2007,2007,2009,2010,2011............ all have nothing to do with this game. How many of the current Liverpool squad were involved in all of those games. How many United players?

So as always with these games form, history and standing means precisely nothing, if United had never won at Anfield we would be just as likely to win today as we are to lose.

Firstly you're right if football was played on paper we would win comfortably, as we've better players than you. It all depends on the day, however I think we've got the quality of players to expose your weaknesses which run through the middle of your side. These are De Gea, Evans and Carrick.

We need to play like we did against City and cut out the mistakes. That would be enough to beat a relatively average Manchester United side. Only Manchester United fans will say that they don't lack quality in certain areas.
In all fairness none of the above with the exception of RVP would get in the Liverpool side.
I was going to answer but thought I wouldnt need to as someone would do it for me and you have posted exactly the same as I would of minus Rooney who if you are honest if he wasnt a former Everton and United player you would also take.
With Reinas current form De Gea would get starts for you aswell as hes miles better than your back ups.
Dare I say Carrick ( dont kill me, hes vital to our team like Alonso was to yours, in a similar role he may do a similar job ).

Reina even with the mistakes is a vastly superior keeper to De Gea. Carrick, we've got the vastly superior and younger Joe Allen. Rooney wouldn't get into the Liverpool side, we've got Suarez, who has more skill in his big toe than Rooney will ever have.
I'd rather have dodgy Pepe than De Gea to be honest. Lindegaard would be a better choice!
Carrick would get some game time if Lucas/Allen were both out. He's a decent player who gets unfairly scapegoated.
