That's as maybe but those 2 strikers are way out of our price range so it's not a realistic comparison. If anyone should be criticised after that first half display it's Bale.

  2. I cannot speak for others, but if Defoe scored a hat-trick for us, I'd be the first to sing his praises. Unfortunately, he hasn't done that for a long while.

Just because he scored a simple goal today, I'm not going to ignore his failings in 99% of the chances he's given. If others want to pop on a pair of Defoe patented rose-tinted glasses, fine.

  3. Yes, I know that. I was using an extreme example to make a very simple point. Defoe isn't anywhere near their league.

So, does Lloris have a face that could curdle milk as he sits on the bench...or was that a load of tabloid sloblock as well?

I understand the point you are making I just don't think he has had a bad game today.

This could be a long second half unless we get this bloody second goal!

Good work from Dembele, poor finish from Defoe.

Le Fondre's physicality is causing our centre-backs some problems.
    Ongoing thing for us.

Should have put this away in the 1st half. This is feeling very familiar.

That was selfish from Defoe. Little lay back was all that was needed

Huddlestone's coming on. Sigurdsson off and Dembele further forward, perhaps?
