To the OP: We are only three points away from being out of the relegation zone, and, just to clarify for you, that is one win. What's the problem? Do you seriously expect us to be fighting for the title? Do you seriously expect us to be that much higher than we are after facing Man City, Man United AND Arsenal? And, to be honest, we only really got completely outplayed by one of those teams. It's easy to blame the defence, but come on, they've had 4 games together in this league, 3 against some of the toughest attackers you will ever face. If Reading, West Ham, Wigan, Norwich, or even teams like Fulham, Sunderland and West Brom had had our opening fixtures, they would be in a similar situation to us. There ARE three worse teams that us in the division. We have a Premiership-class attack, and, against teams that don't keep the ball as well as Arsenal and the Manchesters, we WILL damage them. Shut the **** up, you are a disgrace to our fanbase.
Our defense is quite poor but I find we're getting little luck too. A lot of the time a ball goes loose in our box it ends up at the feet of an attacker.
Yes clarks ones , their excitement is a week in Devon in September , stable is the key to their lives , dont rock the boat etc etc .
The last four games have gone and the points are lost. The important thing is how Nigel and the team deal with it. Never seen Nigel so low...there was a man who needed a hug However, I'm pretty sure he woke up this morning in a more positive mood (not quite full tigger mode, but getting there), he will replay this game and find his negative and 4 positives (he may have to stretch a bit there), and sit down with the squad and discuss it. The team are encouraged to talk at these sessions and I'm sure there will be a bit of mud-slinging to get out of their systems before they can move on. The real test is to learn from these games and from those points we lost against the Manchester clubs.
And just what is wrong with visiting the fair county of my birth Baz?....It's not called glorious Devon for nothing...p.s. sandals are very comfortable as beachwear, I especially like brown ones...
In Portugal, I should bloody well think so. I spent a week in Croatia recently in near 40 degree heat, and it was sandals or barefoot. Anything else would be mad.
That is of course possible , but we could do a lot worse than be the new boing boing baggies , for a season or two . I don't think we will get relegated but I am sure that is a better option than spend madly and put the CLUB at risk .
Oh Devon is lovely but its exactly the example I was looking for , stable , nice . charming inoffensive , the Maureen or Nigel to Alexis or Chad .
My mate is a baggies fan and he is happy now but he was not then and there is no guarantee that that situation will work out for us . Far too much of a gamble .
The nightclubs in Torquay get a bit lively in the summer when all the Scousers and Sweatys come down and cause all kinds of havoc... calm down calm down!
Better gamble than spending money we don't have and putting the future of the club in doubt . Remember the year we spent 9 million or so and lost to Derby in the play offs ? Look where that led us ............
