Fair enough, I'm right at the top of the Upper Loft, can't even see the upper tier of the School End from there, plus we were singing virtually constantly, not surprised I didn't hear you lot.
The atmosphere was electric at times. It's fair to say that noise from the school end doesn't make it to the loft and vice versa. From B block, the Chelsea fans vocals pretty much mirrored their teams' performance, loud and clear early on, but over-powered as the game went on. A glance around the ground on the final whistle pretty much summed the game up, three stands on their feet, hands aloft, praising the team, the fourth emptying fast with not one clap visable.
Big up to all you boys that were there and made such a great atmosphere. I listened to it on 5-Live and it sounded great. Even the commentator was taken aback at the decibel levels. Great stuff lads!
I thought it was a worse atmosphere than last year although there were a few great passages where it was extremely loud, but not too consistent. I didn't hear the Chelsea fans apart from towards the end of the 1st half when our atmosphere went dead, although i wasn't exactly listening out for them. But yes u agree with whats been said, centre mids very good, defense and keeper also top notch...
Watching a recording of the game now which has no commentary other than the crowd. Haven't heard Chelsea, QPR sound really good, and extremely loud.
It ain't nonsense - you don't need to play attaching midfield players like Park and SWP because they are better defensively than Adel and Hoillet, when you got 6 good defensive players behind them. It is too defensive especially when we are playing at home. Of course we need defensive capability, but we need creativity to open defenses, and goal scoring threats to win games. Many of our best chances today fell to Park and SWP who don't look like they could score in a brothel.
I think you'll find that Taarbs/ Hoilett may well feature against the teams who are not CL contenders Jock. Unfortunately they are paying the price for the fiasco against Swansea ( not saying it was their fault), and the fact that we now have an abundance of midfielders. Park, Granero and Faurlin look like fixtures to me and if they play like they did yesterday consistently I'm very happy with that. But it's a squad game and over the course of a season they will get a run in the team.
Possible Adel or Hoilett might have had a run in the last 10, if we hadn't had three injured players subbed. Personally, I think that's where Adel in particular could do damage, coming on late, fresh against tired defenders
I didn't go to the Walsall game but my mate said Hoilett looked so disinterested that possibly that could be a reason for him being dropped ever since .
I think that was our gameplan, Hoilett and Cisse in the last 10-15 mins but it was totally ruined by the injuries
If that's the case then I'm really starting to warm to Hughes. Taarabt isn't being played for the same reason. Cisse isn't being started either because he's been a lazy cu*t so far this season. Traore was sauntering around at Norwich and he ain't got a look in since. These chancers are going to have to realize soon that the Manger won't tolerate anything less than 100% and I think that's great.
Apart from that I'd cut out Diakite's position and leave out one of Coldharbour's defensive midfield 3, so that Cisse could provide scoring potential in an offensive midfield 3, I like this team too. But we need a Keeper on the Bench - which means Murphy. Granero looks like he'd make a good Captain. Park could join our Korean QPR supporters on the terraces normally, but with AJ, Fabio and Anton probably out for Spurs there's probably room for him on the Bench Sunday. I'd like to see this team there: ---------------------Cesar---------------- Bosingwa----Nelson-----Mbia------Traore --------------Granero----Faurlin---------- --------Cisse----------Adel---------------Hoilett -------------------Zamora----------------- Subs: Clint, Onouha, Mackie, SWP, Murphy, Park, Diakite
Won't happen mate. Id like to see this at Spurs: --------------------Cesar------------------- Bosingwa----Nelsen-------M'Bia-------Traore -------------------Diakite------------------- ------------Granero-------Faurlin------------ Park--------------------------Taarabt/Hoilett ----------------Cisse/Zamora----------------
You are right, because MH is far too defensive. He probably won't even be as adventurous enough to play your more defensive team! Probably SWP will play out right and Park out left again, to make us defensively safer, Cisse and Hoillett will be on the Bench, and Adel will probably be left to choose between the Stand or a bus somewhere.
No holes, if he insists that 3 of the front four work and track back, but maybe we may score some goals! Granero and Ale showed they are good enough to both protect the back 4, and set us up going forward.
