Another man of ther match showing from Frank for England last night and another goal. Well done Frank.

Have to say I though Gerrard played well too as did Defoe in parts, and the full backs. Nice to see Ryan get another cap as well and was involved in the build up to the penalty being given.

Jagielka was awful, constantly gave the ball away and should never have started in front of Cahill (unless I missed an injury to Cahill???).

Cleverly was even worse. How the hell is this kid starting for England? Shows our lack of options I guess. Played the number 10 role but did nothing all night bar missing presentable chances. Ox and Milner also fairly anonymous. We badly lack talent going forward. Danny and Welbeck looked lively when they came on but very disappointed to see Welbeck diving...must be picking up tips from A Young in training. Don't want to see England players resorting to that.

Any 4 points from 2 games, could be worse.

Not sure how Cleverly plays, if he didn't play for United he probably wouldn't be in the squad. Poor man's Jack Wilshere!

To be honest, Frank only got it because Gerrard was sent off.

    Yes, he did.
Overall, I think Gerrard had been the better of the two but they didn't want to give motm to a player who had been sent off.

Shame he got sent off, I felt he would have been close to Motm. Cleverly was gash though!

Agreed, I thought up until the pen Gerrard probably edged MOTM. A few wayward hollywood passes but was at least being progressive and great work rate as usual. However he then got sent off and Frank steps up and gets the equaliser from the spot so probably right decision in the end...just.

The reason Frank and Gerrard are still getting picked is they are still head and shoulders above every single other English midfielder bar maybe Wilshire, who is of course still injured.

Gerrard was man of the match by a long way (must shower now) for those who say Cleverly was crap, he had a poor game for him but still managed to knit the game together between midfield and attack, ok he missed three sitters but he is not a striker and still managed to get into the position to score. Someone earlier said the fullbacks played well, what the hell did Johnson do? he should not even be in the Liverpool team, Martin Kelly is a much better player.

Errr...no he didn't. He did fuk all.

I'm no Johnson fan but he made a couple of really good runs and nearly scored with a curler in the bottom corner. Cleverly managed to miss practically an open goal from 6 yards. And as for getting in the position to score, he played at number 10, of course he will get chances but no good playing that role if you're not going to score them or create for others.
