James Wilson plus one new centre defender required.

Its about time we invest in the defence and stop silly mistakes that were made by our so say captain.

All great scoring 3 but we had a poor showing from our middle two in defence. Could have been a lot worse if not for Heaton and Skuse.
 
Is it all the defence or are we back to the issue that 4-4-2 just leaves us too weak defensively?
I think it is great that Del wants to put more attacking players on the pitch but if it leaves us
open to letting in more than we score then maybe we need to be less gung-ho?

Posh is now a big game - if we win it then things will look OK but a defeat will leave us
not far clear of the bottom group.
 
3 goals against a team featuring the likes of Nuno Gomes that were rubbing shoulders with Man U and Chelsea last season isn't too bad, but conceding silly goals needs to stop and quickly.

In previous seasons we would have been hammered - a bit like the Rovers were - yet again !!! McGhee should be given the freedom of the city

Yes, at least you can drown your sorrows in our continuing ineptitude. Unfortunately for you, all this demonstrates is a distinct weakness in the average Teds' mindset. <ok>
 
The one thing to remember I'd like Angelic says, they are still much a premiership team. There won't be a lot better down the gate this year.

And in previous seasons we would of crumbled. The score was against us but I felt we held our own against them.
 
Fonts and carry didn't have the best of games, neither did the middle 2 of the midfield, Taylor looked lost and we looked better with baldock on, a defender is needed asap, woolford went missing for much of the game and maybe Anderson should of been brought on at 2-2, mcinnes has a lot to think about for the boro game, a new back 2 would be a start

Sorry Jon Stead, Taylor holds the ball up better at the moment and wins more in the air.

Davies to add a bit more bite in the centre and gets into good positions.

By the way, is anyone else having Not606 crash their browser every 10 mins or so? It's beginning to piss me off and it only happens when I'm on here, not on any other site.

And in response to your erroneous reply, Lan, that is in fact the worst thing and something that I alluded to on the Gas board. It was only a few short years ago that we would have Gills for toast, let alone Barnet. Now look at us. It's our decline that annoys me the most, not individual defeats or 'bad days at the office'.

It's not a mindset that I have, it pisses me off enormously. I've supported Rovers for 35 years and it has never been as bad as now. I can't understand it. In theory we've got some decent players and a decent manager, but something is very, very wrong.

At least if you lot get relegated you'll be in League 1. If we do we'll be in the Conference - and look at how long it took Oxford to get out of that - Luton are still down there. It's all mystifying, annoying and upsetting.

ROD - if I could sneeze over the Internet and give you my germs I would. Mind you, if I could reach out of my screen and strangle you with my bare hands, I'd do that too! :emoticon-0119-puke: :wink:
