Surprised you find the time to drag yourself away from the Chelsea board, Swords.

Nice warm "welcome back" their moderator gave you.

DL's not a moderator. He's the guy that's on this Board all the time.

But I think you knew that.

That's a fair question Buthead. In fact, I'm one of the ones who suggested a smaller capacity of around 30k with the option of add-ons in the future.

Whatever the size though mate, its fairly clear that we need to move out of LR. Its the smallest ground in the PL and consequently generates very little revenue.

Build it and they will come Buthead!!!

In the late 70s and early 80s where I did go every week we did have around 12000 people at LR and our team was quite successful at that time. Now - after surviving PL one year - we shall now build a stadium and hope for a positive outcome. TF is a business man and will never spend big money without any prospects I guess. Building it and see what may happen is rather naive SH.

I was at the game and have to say that you were worthy of a point. I feel the ref was shocking though in not giving us at least one penalty and there were a succession of fouls on our players that go unnoticed but when ramires fouls one of yours he gets a card! The atmosphere was very good by both fans. I've come home with a lost voice! Overall a fair result in a heated derby.

There are precedents set that we can look to. I always use the Cardiff example. When they were in NP which was the same as LR, they were averaging around 14k (far from Capacity). Then, when they opened their new ground the next season, they packed it out week in week out, getting around 26k. In fact, they said they could have filled a much larger Stadium and they're not even Premier League!

So they went from not filling their old one, to packing their much bigger new one. Why? I think its simply because the facilities are 100% better. The old ground was a dump and the new one is state of the art.

Good all round performance. Granero was good, but not as amazing as everyone is making out. Gave the ball away sloppily at least four or five times. Will be an excellent player for us though. Faurlin was supers considering it's his 2nd game back. Cesar assured and Nelsen was marshalling the back line, something we've desperately needed for years.

All in all a postive step forward, roll on the spuds.

You are suggesting that we can duplicate (and even more) our actual attendance without knowing where the new statium will be and where all the people will come from - we are not Cardiff (one club) and QPR always has been very different to the likes of Chelsea. Perhaps we can fill a much bigger stadium in the near future but I doubt that TF will invest do a big investment now. If - perhaps next season - we play in the top 5 then he will do pull the money needed but not right now.

Just back from the long but on this occasion satisfying trip up the M40. Very good performance against the European Champions, FFS. Nelsen is visibly organizing the defence, they had two breakaways towards the end which would have been goals against Swansea, this time we got men back and snuffed them out. With Cesar, at last some confidence at the back, just a joy. I am certain that knowing his quality puts attackers off, Torres was dire. And what's with him, Terry and Lampard surrounding and haranguing the ref at every decision?
Faurlin superb - calm, secure in possession, strong in the tackle working very well with Granero. Park also always a threat, worked well with Bosingwa on the left. BZ put his body on the line again for the cause, AJ was a real nuisance before his injury. My only concern was the right hand side - Ned caught a couple of times (though he was up against Hazard), SWP and Mackie worked their socks off, but noticeable difference in quality between them and the rest of the midfield.
Overall, brilliant, we will start finding the net soon, then someone is in for a hiding. Quietly confident of getting something off Spuds next week, with The AVB factor in play.
LR rocked today. Didn't hear a single Chelsea chant from the Upper Loft.

    Where's the captain?

I can only echo what has been written above.
That was a very good team performance against the European Champions.
I thought everyone had a good game and it's probably the best game i've seen Ferdinand play for us.

It was a shame Johnson went off, he looked lively and you feel that he will make things happen when he's on the ball. Bosingwa adjusted to playing left back well when Fabio went off and looked good going forward.

The two home debuts by Cesar and Granero were impressive. I think they will quickly become Rangers heroes.

Nelsen is a warrior in the heart of defence, he made some superb full blooded tackles and you could see that the Chelsea players didn't really fancy mixing it with him. Make him Captain say I.

Strange that as I thought our support was superb today. I've lost my voice and was chanting the whole game. I'm sure those in the South Africa stand near u can vouch for that. Then again we didn't hear much from the far stand. Maybe it's the acoustics in the ground but we sung very loud today...
