Please not that again. It's just going to be really confusing. Back on topic Max has made an interesting point, does Hamilton actually have much of a say in where he goes? If XIX need him to move for them to milk him (moooo), then they will encourage a move, regardless of Hamilton's feelings about the situation.
On the other hand though... That might not say that they do their best on working with McLaren to sort a good deal... They may focus on the honey pot and leave McLaren hanging... Who knows.
Yes, I agree, on the surface at least, but isn't it part of the management that they get the right people for the sports star and do the necessary to secure their services, be it Lendl or that new guy whose name I can't remember but used to coach Kimi or Mika or someone else Finnish?
Guys this point about XIX and decision making on Lewis's future especially regarding money re: highlighted in MAX's post doesn't sound to good. Moneys one thing but a driver placed badly if they get it wrong won't be good business for either. An unhappy driver in a choice of team that fails to deliver would seriously devalue brand Lewis. If this is the way it could be then the next decision is more serious than i gave it credit for. Totally agree that Lewis has his input but to what extent?? If they (XIX) are chasing the cash it could backfire. That's just a thought tho, im not sure how the decisions are taken. But well done lads, you've made a young man very old with this thread. BLS i blame you. You started this and I've aged considerably
If Hamilton moves to Merc/Brawn... Don't panic too much. They won the title more recently than McLaren.
I still remember being sat in the pub, laughing with my mates when Schuey joined Ferrari... And we all know how that worked out. There's no telling what might be in store.
The Guardian say Hamilton's decision could be made within the next few days. It also says: This is consistent with Autosport's recent article about McLaren increasing their offer. If that's the best McLaren could offer, I expect to hear an announcement from Mercedes shortly.
So he could well be going to mercedes. Thats great news, if it keeps him away from winning, then it's better for the sport.
He's a dividing figure who's mere prescence on the podium makes people fall out unnessecarily. No Hamilton on the podium = a happier world.
I don't know. It would be to me. At least every thread wouldn't descend into a Hamilton is better than Jesus/Hamilton is worse than Ed Brown thread.
