I have to admit I was quite cynical when he was appointed as Murray's coach but you can't argue with results.

Finals of the Australian and Wimbledon Opens. Olympic gold and silver medals. And now US Open champion.

There have been times during the past few years where I've doubted Andy's ability to win a major but it seems that everything has come together for him this year.

Let's hope there is much more to come.

I wasn't exactly "cynical" about Lendl's involvement but when things didn't happen quickly after his arrival I admit I didn't think he was going to be good for Andy Murray, I am happy to be proven wrong it just took longer than I expected.

I too had my doubts Andy was ever going to take a slam title, again I have been proven wrong and again it took longer than it perhaps should have. You can't take anything away from the man, he has made history. Let's have more of the same please Andy! Wimbledon would be a good one but I won't quibble if he were to take the Aussie title <ok>
