Funny . . . But in all seriousness I think Spurs should have made an approach from Moyes. He is a quality manager who has a proven track record of getting the best out of his players. I think he would have taken you further than Arry and whilst it's still early days for AVB, I can't see him getting Spurs challenging for a top 4 spot.
But we signed AVB so it's a pointless comment but it does keep stirring the anti AVB pot. I think we should have approached Clough but he's dead, is of equal value.
Yes, because approaching a dead manager as opposed to one who is currently recognised as one of the best managers (alive) has equal value . . . . Maybe Levy will consult you on your future appointments ?
Shall I explain! or is it just a waste of time. AVB is our manager and has only just begun the job whether we should have asked Moyes or not is just as relevant as asking Clough. The issue is dead. In a years time it may surface again and we can get your advice then.
Well maybe you just missed the word 'should', it's post-tense Of course it's a moot point now, AVB is your manager. I just thought it was strange that Spurs apparently didn't even enquire as to whether Moyes would have liked the job. It would have been a step up for him and I think he would have risen to the challenge. Maybe you will get the chance to approach Moyes in the not too distant future . . . ?
You could always of course have chosen to respond with a sensible answer in the first place But I suppose this thread does have 'waffle' in it's title
There is only one answer to your posts and it's the one I should have adopted in the first place rather than respond to your first pointless post. Here it is:
more waffling Spurf . . . Personally, I think the idea that Spurs might have approached Moyes was valid enough.
i looked up belgian waffle on urban dictionary. A few different definitions but i'm gonna go with the first one i think
Its an old subject done to death with nothing more to add, Levy didn't want Moyes, and if he had, Moyes would have preferred to be the one and only candidate, not have his name bandied around with a list of others, end of.
I know, i just can't help myself. The belgium waffle actually made me chuckle a little bit, especially working in IT.
Brilliant against Man U, no doubt. But what else has he done? There are a lot of players who are brilliant occasionally. I wouldn't want him at Spurs unless he starts putting a bunch of top games end to end. Even if he does look shockingly like my high school yearbook picture...
