Well he's certainly a much younger player than that other chap we were linked with, which makes me think why is he a free agent to begin with ? Still if laudrup thinks he can do a job for us, I'll be happy with that.

Lets just hope he can do the job. I think this will be a tidy signing. Taught in a country that likes to pass and move. Has plenty of first team experience in a good league. lets hope this happens.

Looks the best that we can do right now. Bit worried he was released but has experience. My worst nightmare was Tate at LB.

I'm wondering if Cruyff had an input in this as he's well connected in the Dutch league and was Laudrup's mentor.

Our only South American on the books I think?

well, having seen Curt's all-time XI - with TATE on the edges and hence Curt a Tateist - this guy is a MUST

KJ - am aghast at the number of Tateists on here alone - a fine club-man but absolutely NOT a premier league LB

Wonder if Richards & Laudrup had a falling out right from the get go or something . I think most would have bet Jazz as the replacement for an injured Taylor or Rangel .

cant be much cop if he is released by a club and nobody else is interested in...Tate every time over that option im afraid until we see him play in the reserves first. he might be useless for all we know and thats why he is being released....

I can see where you are coming from with regards the signing of the released Tiendalli.
There's always a question mark over such players.
He may turn out to be the answer to our problem,we just don't know for sure.
However, most posters seem to feel that Tate is out of his depth in the P.L.,and I can see where they are coming from also.

Hi guys, as expected a small report from me.

Tiendalli, 26, left back who's contract wasn't extended in May/ June this year by FC Twente. The reason for that is obvious when you've followed the Eredivisie closely. He was simply not good enough. Allthough he was fast and can play a positioning game, his passing, tactical insight and especially crossing are flawd. The main reason why he is a free agent now is because he is very vulnerable on the counter attack. His tackling is piss poor and don't get me started about his marking...

The only reason I see fit for Laudrup to get him is because he knows how to move the ball around and be safe and secure in his passing. But defensive wise, he wasn't able to keep up with the Eredivisie level...

Cove, thats a pretty damning report there. I gather you watch this guy every week then.

Didnt Tatey end the season bsfore last and start last season at left back. From my rcolection, he terrified me with how he backs off and off into our box when defending.

Musty he is not a full back in any way shape or form. Also ML didnt sign him. He is either a Central defender or central midfield. Watched him play 6 or 7 times last year and he is no where near the first team. He has potential but imo not ready.

BBC Sport has announced that "talks have been opened" between Club and player,so it looks as if Mr. Laudrup is open to signing this guy.
