My understanding is this, Spawn of Brezhnev has a 'club' rule in place that 'all' players over 30 are to be offered yearly extensions on their contracts. If that's the rule, thats the rule. It should not be read by players, 'that is the rule except for me, Ashley Cole', once again it shows the culture at this club of certain senior players feeling they should be treated differently. Lampard is negotiating too, I expect we'll be hearing from him soon enough.

Nah, he looks past it far too often these days and we couldn't afford him even if we did want him.

doesn't he like shooting the youth players? Hardly seems the best way to encourage their development

He's still an exceptional player, but he'll go on to one of the other big spending clubs, if he does decide to leave Chelsea.
We'd offer him a three year contract that'd pay the same as one at Chelsea, anyway! <laugh>

Malouda training with the youth team
Cashley looking for the nearest exit

So much for Di Matteo's man-management skills...

When I was a kid I saw a kid run face first into a tree...As he stood there dazed, with blood pouring from his nose and mouth through his fingers he staggered back and slipped in a pile of dog****e. As he fell he put his hand out to break his fall and put his hand in some other pile of **** ... he didn't notice the **** on his hand and he put it back up to his face spreading the **** over his nose and mouth. This in turn caused him to throw up everything he'd ever eaten...I wasn't aware it was possible to throw up, bleed and puke so much and cry at the same time...we all stood there open mouthed as he suffered the final humilation of crying and puking so hard that he lost control and pissed in his jeans...(we were about 10yrs old) it was like something from the Exorcist! His mums actually screamed "Oh ****" and recoiled in horror when she opened the door and saw (and smelt) her son there in that state stinking of blood puke piss and **** after our 20 minute walk home on that very hot day in the summer of 1977 (the year of the drought)...the stench was unbelievably bad...I swear to God he had every fly in our part of London following him home... it's something I thought I'd never wish to see again...

However, I'd rather have that as my ground hog day than ever have Ashley ****ing Cole pull on a spurs shirt.

I don't ever want to see that. He's a great player but horrible human being.

I never wanted us to sign Gallas either, but tbf to him he hasn't caused any trouble since he has been our player.

I was the only fan I met that was happy to have Gallas. For some reason these players that are supposed to have bad attitudes are happy to respect our club and work hard <whistle>

Why would we need Baines though when we already have Benny? We need a good young emerging left back similar to when we signed walker for the right back position and now he has made it his own. Otherwise in my opinion you have 2 equally good players of the same age competing for one spot. Although obviously I would choose Benny every time!

Completely disagree with you. No point arguing about it as you won't change my mind on it and I doubt I'll change yours. I think Benny is the marmite of the Tottenham players to us fans. All I know is when I watch him play he is 99% of the time quality. He makes the odd mistake but he takes risks. He is a Spurs type player through and through.
