Ok we did not perform to the best of our abilities, yes we made three awful defensive mistakes and we made an ordinary 'Boro side look good today. However this is what you get with young sides, inconsistency. Teams that are in the building process take a while to come about. If NP has time he will take us back to the PL, and he will build a young team who wants to play. Reasons to be positive: - Fryatt is a natural goalscorer. - Simpson looks 10 times the player he was at the start of the season. - Evans and Cairney looked to be on the same wavelength. - Chester when played at CB is a class act, people seem to think he is a midfielder! - We have NP and his backroom staff who i trust fully. - We have a chairman who knows went to spend and when not to. - Finally, we are in the top half of the division, after nearly going bust i would take not getting relagated! And finally, to every single Hull fan who left early today, good riddance, support your team to the end!
Agreed with everything on this thread! And with a few additions in the summer we are well placed to do very well next season!! Who do you think this left winger might be that pearson talked about on the radio?
Well said. I came home gutted it wouldn't be natural not to be. But there's still three games left. What will be will be. Best away team in the league and two of the next three games are away. If it doesn't happen, we go away, regroup, and have another shot again. I was disgusted with the guy who had the seat next to me today. Announced to his 6/7 year old son (not sure why he bought tickets in the east stand for a kid of that age, but maybe I'm old fashioned) that "We don't need to see rubbish like this" and took him home at half time. What an example to set.
Thats the spirit! Listening to Burnsy and Swanny a day like this during 90 minutes wasnt much much fun I should get bonus points for that effort....
Not quite sure who it is, haven't heard NP's interview as of yet, what did he have to say? I sit fairly close to NP and them three goals in the first half will haunt him as he really really does expect more from his defence, like i think we all do!
I totally agree with you, ok, I'm disappointed after today's result obviously - who wouldn't be?! But we have to take a step back and think about the beginning of the season when we would have taken a mid-table finish there and then. The 2nd half of this season has been fantastic and to be talking about being included in the play-offs is a massive achievement, but, personally, I would prefer another 1 or even 2 seasons in the Championship. The PL (and bad management) practically brought our club to its knees, lets get the club on an even keel financially, finish building our "young", strong team and then push for automatic promotion. But this time it would be done and handled properly with Adam Pearson and the Allams at the helm. UP THE TIGERS!
We weren't ever going up this season, the main target was not to go down again and we've achieved that by a country mile. Next season with all the deadwood gone and Pearsons choice of players we will be going places without a doubt. Be thankful we are not down at the bottom with Tangoman and Preston because that is where we would be without the Allems and Pearsons fighting for us all.
