At the risk of starting world war 3 and speaking not in a mod role but a Sunderland fan and football fan I have to say how sad I am at some of our Newcastle neighbours.

I have just been on the Newcastle board, for a peak, and found 2, yes only 2 threads from Sunderland fans. One of those just had those dancing men we have grown used to over the past weeks and after a lot of abuse the thread was deleted. Over the past weeks our board have been swamped with dancing men and none have been deleted, all I delete are BDU and some of that daft troll fella, even the Newcastle fans will understand that.

Now don’t get me wrong, we have many good Newcastle visitors who wum in good humour and make some good contributions. Surely it’s an embarrassment to them that some of their fellow fans are very quick to dish it out but so poor at taking it.

These boards are all the better for banter and before anyone says the thread in question was not banter, I agree, it was certainly not banter, it was those dancing men you just loved posting on our board.

I feel quite superior today, in many ways.

Because there's nothing to dish it out over.

You guys won. Great. However, we didn't lose. We had a draw. Plus, we're still above you guys. There's really no reason to wum. At least all of the toon people over the last few weeks had some good reasons which the mackems couldn't really disagree with.

My advice would be to save the wumming for when you guys have a good solid and secure reason for it, like if you overtake us on the table next week (which is probably going to happen). Doing it prematurely just sets yourselves up for a backlash if things don't go as planned.

I don't know why some people haven't learnt this lesson yet. I even saw some mags on our board start wumming about Sunderland when you guys were a goal down, even though it was early in the game and we weren't exactly playing well at Blackpool.

They got all shirty at the dancing men... I went on their board, though I usually don't, as I felt it was our turn today. Bit strange they didn't like them today considering they've bummed them over the last few months...

Bit disappointing, but then we won today so...

Didn't stop you boys when we lost to Notts County earlier in the season.

Some of our members told the people responsible that they shouldn't be wumming until we see how we would get on in our game. Some people on both boards never learn, and then end up giving the opposition delicious amounts of ammunition.

I think that's fair and to be honest I cringed myself when I saw the boasts of "we're going to be above you next week".

It's all getting very close now.

sorry chappaz, I have a lot of time for you but you are wrong and deleting the thread was wrong. Pull the poster apart, tell him all that you are telling us and you keep the high ground. Delete and it makes you look very poor.

I think the fact that they have taken 4 points of us this season, we've lost 8 in a row and haven't won in 10 before today and yet we're level with them is just all too much for them.

We've put up with some serious crap from some of them. I'm all up for a bit of banter but some of their crack is truly horrendous.

But anyway let's not waste our time on that lot. Less chat, more <party>

Where did I say I agree with the deleting? I haven't even mentioned it. You had a pint too many Syd?

By the way, if you must know, I disagree with it as well.

What I'm talking about is the way people wum and how they set themselves up to get easily battered down again. They never learn.

Yes it is sad, but not surprising...From my experience, Newcastle fans on the whole are a bunch of saddo's; however, there is the odd exception to this rule.

**** off man I have just got back, I haven't deleted anything! Get your facts right before you start spouting ****, even ask your own super mod who has deleted the comments(I don't even know what has been deleted) and he will tell you it wasn't me.

Syd, I merged two articles because they were essentially the same. Gyan's Y Fronts had even posted the thread he started as a comment in the other thread (see posts 18 and 21 http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/42403-Thanks-for-introducing-us-to-this... ). I also merged two articles about Leighton Baines and three about QPR, it's nothing to do with not being able to take the banter, it's just general housekeeping to keep the board tidy, similar to what you do after a particularly humiliating result. <ok>

No problem. Couldn't have Leazes getting stick for something I'd done. <ok>
