I haven't a clue what constitutes our best line up. I'd like to read thoughts on this.

Lets think about this, our back 4 is set in stone, so its the other six we have to think about.

    I'd pick...

Whittingham, Bellamy, Kimbo, Maynard, Noone, Gunnarrson.....

but what about : Mutch, Cowie, Heidarsson, Velikonja etc...

Jeesus, you have a point Glam. We've got a hell of a lot of attacking / midfield quality.

It's too hard to call! I can't even name the 18 players for the match....but I'll try!

I admire Mason and he deserves his place in my team!

    -----------------Marshall---------------
    Nugget--Hudson--Turner--Taylor
    -------Whitts--------------Gunner----
    Kimbo---------Mason------Bellamy
    ----------------Maynard----------------

hopefully a few loanees can change that. As with midfield and forwards, we still need cover (albeit loanees for now). Without competition for places, complacency could creep in.

same as ccfcrt0p but with CB39 out today, I'd go for:

    ------------Marshall

    Kev - Hudson - Turner - Taylor
    ========Gunnar
    Noone------------------Kimbo
    -------------Whitts
    -----Maynard
    ---------------------HH

SUBS: Lewis, Mason, Mutch, Cowie, Connolly, Conway, Velikonja

None of you seem to appreciate its the Don + 10 others.......

I'm a MM supporter but if Don starts on the wing ahead on Kim, Noone or Mason I'm goin to be absolutely tamping before we kick a ball. If he wants his work rate in the middle I'd be happy enough with that tbh.

Gunnar had a bit of a mare against BC so maybe a starting line up today of

    Standard back 5

    Kim - Cowie - Whits - Mason - Noone

    HH

Maynard, Mutch, Gunnar, velikonja, Connelly, Smith, Lewis

I know this isn't really the question in the thread but I can't answer that until I've seen a bit of Kim, Noone and our ex qpr contingent. Haven't seen Velikonja play yet either.

I think Kimbo and Maynard will start on the bench today.

    Standard back 5

    Smith Gunnar Whitts Mutch Noone
    HH

Nil - Nil at half time, Kimbo, Maynard and Mason on with 20 to go and 3-1 to us.

What i have also noticed as i have read each team is that i like the look of them all and they all look very strong. Same as SteveO though now that we have brought in a few wing type players i would not expect to see Cowie out right!!

How about Bellamy as bench warmer after that performance by the utterly brilliant Noone.

Why not every player needs to earn the place in the side and those lot out on the pitch today did.

Smith for me was excellent yesterday.

First time we have seen a winger zip down the wing like Noone since Routledge was on loan.

The options up front & in midfield are immense.

Get in a proper defensive left back to replace Taylor, and we have a complete team.

Now what that team is though is the $1m question.

I think it'll be a case of picking the best team for each game as the opponents and their tactics will be different each time (obviously). Plus whether we are at home or away.
