Anyone remember when he first signed for us ? He said himself,he'd never been one for scoring goals and that certainley hasn't changed while he's been here. Sending him out on loan is a good move. As someone on here pointed out,it's up to him now. Surely he will look at himself and wonder where it did'nt work out for him. If he does that and blames others at the club,he'l never reach the potential he has.

The fact we've sent him to a rival team strongly suggests it's likely to end up permanent.
Bruce must have something up his sleeve on this deal - either a large fee already agreed or possibly a player swap or something.

The only other explanation is that Stewart has made it clear he wants to go (possibly after being played as wing-back at Donny) and Bruce doesn't want anyone bringing down the mood of the squad.
 
Whatever the the reasons for Stewarts exit,i for one am happy about it. Well not actually happy,he started out here looking a great signing,so im more dissapionted than anything. The main thing that still angers me is the way Barmby picked him,game in game out last season,when it effectively meant us starting with ten men. He had nothing to "bring to the table" :emoticon-0100-smile whatsoever. We couldn't wait for him forever.
 
I can't be arsed to read through the entire thread, but I'll give my two-penneth anyway:

Taking into account both goals and assists, Stewart has contributed less than a goal every FIVE games in his time here. That simply isn't good enough. He's very fast, BUT... struggles to beat a man, is physically weak (something that applies to a few too many of our players for my liking), can't use his left foot, can't shoot, can't score, can't head, and can't cross.
