What difference does being a season ticket holder make??? So am I, and I go to as many away games as my commitments allow, I still see what I see!! I don't want to go on with this simply because MORISON (spelling mistake corrected) is still a Norwich City player, and to keep going will only divide the forum again, surprisingly that's NOT what I want to happen, but I'm entitled to my view point the same as you are, we just disagree that's all.
Has ANYONE got ANY reason to believe this report? I cannot find any mention of it on the SSN website transfer day pages.
It does allow you to make an informed opinion based on seeing a player play - I agree, we will all differ on the value and contribution made by certain players who divide opinion and that's what makes life interesting in the same way we don't all like the same bands, food, holidays, etc, etc. OTBC - forever and always
Without resorting to personal attacks on him or anyone on here, I am in the camp that thinks that Steve Morison is not up to Premier League standard. he scored a hatful for Stevenage and Millwall and he scored 1 in 4 for us last season. Two or three of them were quite stunning goals as well. He did a good enough job for a while when he played on his own up front. He also played poorly at times and his lack of real pace and passing ability let him down when he was off form. If its true that we would even consider letting him go out on loan when we are short of strikers then we must have replacement(s) in the wings. We have to let CH go about his business. Lambert bought Oli Johnson for whatever reason but soon got rid. We have to believe that CH is getting it right in terms of his squad. And some managers like to shift players out if they don't fit in their plans. Lambert changed his squad quite rapidly. Whose left from the openers in 2009/10? Now I see Francomb goes out on loan. Is that to make space.
If this turns out to be another BS Morison rumour I wouldn't blame him if he just walked. The treatment he's got is attrocious.
Forest currently have SIX strikers on their books. Does it strike anyone as likely that they are in urgent need of a seventh? Just asking. I know nothing either way.
They've just loaned McGoldrick to Cov Robbie so they've only 5 now - that's one more than us though eh ?
Let me start again then . Forest currently have FIVE strikers on their books. Does it strike anyone as likely that they are in urgent need of a sixth?
And now I'm hearing Morison is a late target to partner Rhodes at Blackburn. Wouldn't blame him for leaving.
Just have a cocoa and go to bed and wake up tomz when this junk is finished and we are kicking a ball think some people would fit in at a WI meeting!
Well, the Forest rumour looks unfounded as it is being reported they're now after Billy "New Season New Club" Sharp !
All this sympathy for Morison is a bit OTT. He is a professional footballer. If the new manager doesn't rate him then he accepts it and finds a new deal or likely his agent does. The reaction of some supporters toward him would have no bearing on his staying. Its just like those who feel betrayed by Lambert. He moved on in his profession. Now we have CH. Two games into the season and there seems to be questions about the poor sod already. Question him if we play hoofball and are in the bottom three all season.
To be quite honest today always gives me one enormous headache, and I keep well out of it, then wake up tomorrow to see how the land lies, don´t believe three-quarters of the rumours floating around, I´m afraid.
Yes, Morison scored some excellent goals last season, but he also put in some horror displays. He was given a chance to prove himsef on Tue against League 1 opposition and he 'blew it' IMO - this was backed up by comments from ILD and reports in the EEN. If CH has a replacement/loan lined up, then let him go, but I don't want us to be short of strikers, even if the preferred option is to play 'one up front'. Only just over 4½ hours to go!!!! PS - Seems like Swansea have made some good signings and don't think it's a good move for SS, as he'll probably spend a lot of the time 'keeping the bench warm'.
Morison and Martin were hopeless against Scunthorpe, zero movement, I've not seen two strikers so out of kilter for a long time, I'm not sure they linked up once. I've always defended Morison for his work rate but he just stood there for 90 mins offering nothing for us to aim for (even with his head). Total crap.
Interesting comment and it just confirms my feelings as to whether Moro should stay or not. IMO, both strikers should go and make way for someone who is proud to wear 'yellow and green' and play with PASSION and DESIRE!!!!
Oh please, passion and desire, the most overused words in British football, SKILL and TECHNIQUE is whats missing.
Sorry, but any combo of those from Morison or C. Martin last Tuesday would have been encouraging There were none of any. Improvement is required if we are to survive this season - sorry, bit it's true.
