Don't shoot me here guys but what about a free transfer in the shape of Michael Owen as back up to Sturridge and Torres? He said he's keen to play for a big a club as possible and I don't think he'd be on high wages, he said a couple of weeks ago he was on a fairly low salary in comparison to other United players. I don't think he'd be bad back up! I know it's 99% not going to happen but I wouldn't be against snapping him up as an experienced option up top.
I wouldn't mind that at all! Think he'd prefer to be the main man at a 'lesser' club though. Berbatov?
Don't know mate, I saw Michael Owen on that programme with Kammy and Ben Shepherd and Owen said he wanted to be at a club at the highest level possible. I think Berba would prefer to be a main man somewhere and his wages would be pretty extraordinary as oppose to Owen although I wouldn't be against Berba either!
True, but again I wouldn't say he's ready to cover Fernando. Owen is old so he wouldn't be here for long and bags of experience. Having said that, I'd much rather we went for Llorente if Sturridge is going to go on loan.
No don't want him. My guess is that he wants to play at the biggest club possible so he can keep his salary as high as possible. Has been!
Please take him... we're linked with him... I'd hate to have to poke my eyes out before watching my next game just because Owen is on. Honestly don't think he is good enough for top level... he's always been primarily motivated by money... he should bugger off to China, or Saudi Arabia, or US... some country where they occasionally pay over the odds for some washed up famous name.
